Hi friends!
Our word war champions have emerged. In a stunning victory, word war group #3 takes the lead with 14,577 words, group 2 following with 7,358, and group 1 strangely no-show.
The individual with the highest wordcount was @joelle-stone with 6,841 words!
Great job everyone who participated.
-
Congratulations, @joelle-stone!
-
Thx Dakota!! π I’ve gotta say that word wars make it much easier to be motivated, heh heh. π How many did you get?
-
-
@joelle-stone 6,511. Yep, they’re motivating. π
-
6511?!? Wow, good job!!! Which team are you on, if I may ask?
-
-
@joelle-stone Thanks! And it’s Word War Group 2.
-
Sad! We’re not on the same team. Oh, well, at least we can still compete!! π
-
-
@joelle-stone Yep! And the next one isn’t too far off. π

@toklaham-veruzia Makes sense. I still agree with what @r-m-archer said earlier, about how the pre-redemption OT God was still personal. Either way, you have a massive task ahead and I look forward to seeing what you do. IsΒ The Lore of Yore currently pre- or post-redemption?

@sam-m “What is the difference between justice and revenge?” is probably my favorite of those… I would love to see how you answer that!
@zee “What’s going to happen next?” is a very relatable question XD

@toklaham-veruzia So. Reading through your initial comment made me want to read your pre-Redemption world stories very much. Like, I understand how that could be difficult to write, but if you could pull it off… wow, that would be amazing.
But if you really want to go with the post-Redemption world… you’ve got some really good feedback here…[Read more]

There was this one book that my mother read out loud to us a long time ago. I think it was about Luke before he was a Christian? At one point in the story, he ends up with Magi how tell him about God. Something that stuck out to me was that they did not know everything but had enough to know that someone would come. To that end,…[Read more]

@toklaham-veruzia I’ve often wondered about this subject too…my favorite writing of a personable God in a fantasy world is the Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson. Although his characters portray different parts of the Redemptive story throughout the series (forgiveness, protection, self-sacrifice, etc.), Peterson also has a figure called the…[Read more]

Great questions, @toklaham-veruzia! Very thought-provoking. First of all, I have to congratulate you on your ambition and perseverance.
You say you don’t want to “cut-and-paste” Christianity into your fantasy world, but the fact is, if your created characters are going to have a personal relationship with a God who actually joined them, lived…[Read more]

I went and read your story. Good job. I really liked it.
I have written a ton of flash-fiction, but I’ve never polished or published any of it. Maybe I should look into it.
Just curious, how long do you plan for your WIP to be? I saw over on Word Wars that you had written over 17,000 words during one battle. That’s really…[Read more]
