Klein is with Zanar and Riure I guess. I missed @rose-colored-fancy‘s post and wrote him with them so he’s stuck. Which means that there is a shapeshifter on the loose.

Steel walls shot up out of the floor. Klein instinctively snapped up his rifle and closed the visor. Quickly turning, he checked his surroundings. The group had been broken apart by the walls which seemed to originate from a single point. A top down view might give it the look of the spokes of a wheel. His group consisted of two children and a…[Read more]

Well, I’m cool with whatever pairing Klein gets. Who moves first?

Well, flying ships are quite a thing to read about or see in film. It is another matter to figure out how to make one fly. The current designs I have been working on use a combination of helium or similar material and large, high power engines. The real problem is the ones I am working on are warships. Armor is super heavy and…[Read more]

Pulling herself down from the ceiling by an improvised grappling hook, a girl settled by the console. She seemed to know what it said.
“I’ll cover you.”
Dropping to one knee, Klein began to sweep the hanger. He had been caught off guard once. Opening the scanners in the helmet, he checked for thermals. Outside of the wrecked machines, everything…[Read more]

With this Isaac is done. I’m gonna focus on my character in 2.0 so my slot is open now. Good luck and good hunting.

Isaac looked at the sweets. He disliked such conundrums. As a spy, failing meant death, of himself or others. He choose based on rumor and fact. He studied and observed. Rarely were the options too close to properly judge. Vulferym and Alessio debating the puzzle didn’t help.
“Done.” said Virtus.
He had eaten one of the sweets.
From behind,…[Read more]

Well from what I know which is little, gravity pulls. When two gravitational fields meet, you get the hover ability. The catch is forward movement. To “surf” on the border of the two gravity fields, there must be continued movement of some fashion or the surfer will become stranded. Another problem is there would be no safe…[Read more] -

Klein watched the drones. He remembered how they were programed. Right now they were attempting to contact someone from the ship’s security team. Until that contact was made, the bots would simply keep guns on them. If any of this group however pulled a weapon, the drones would switch to kill mode.
Right now they wouldn’t have to worry about…[Read more]

Klein didn’t like the eyes looking at him. He had never been the center of attention. Seeking shelter, Klein put the helmet back on. The alarm had stopped now. The suit’s systems were back to normal. Everyone was still looking at him. He had to shift attention away from himself.
“I’ll get the door.”
Drawing his gun, Klein walked to the door.…[Read more]

I got a trap. A hanger deck and zero g during a drone battle. Just to mess with Klein a bit more.

“Gavril, Klein, Gwendolyn, Dancrow, and… Riure.” said an Oriental man.
Klein realized that one of the volunteers was a kid. Before he could intervene, the ground shook. Too late. The system had acknowledged them. All they could do was hope.
Klein watched as the group gave their good byes. They were a tight knit unit. Breaking up would hurt them.…[Read more]

“What kind of thing is this? Does it exist in your world?” yelped Alessio.
Isaac saw the box. Taking a small piece of the contents, he ate it. It was chocolate. Such sweet flavor. He had had very little since his childhood. He could take more. It couldn’t hurt. No one would blame him.
Eyeing the box, Isaac slowly closed it. It wasn’t worth it.…[Read more]

Klein followed the group into a chamber. It is a round dome, possibly stone strangely enough. A door was on the far side, lite by an unseen light. Then the doors slammed shut.
“Abandon all hope, ye who enter here, and those who have intruded upon mine final days of rest shall feel the crushing of my wrath until they are reduced to mere piles of b…[Read more]

“Please, let us not ignore the dragon in the room. This is no time to be telling stories. If indeed my uncle keeps dragons, and one escaped his cage, we must do something. Not stand around in idle prattling.” said Vulferym.
Why did this guy have to be like this.
“You live to protect him?” said Alessio.
“I don’t like it any better than you. I…[Read more]

Isaac listened to the conversation between Alessio and Nithel. It reminded him of his own journey. His youth had been rather secular. At first he had been too young to understand and by the time he was old enough, he lacked the teachers to properly tell him about God. To him God had been just a ultra powerful, one of a kind being watching from…[Read more]

Ah. You have found the motherlode. Character castles are meant to help develop and/or test one’s hero, villain or even side characters. By pitting them in a rather lawless environment, one can see how to properly design their reactions to people, actions and ideas one would not consider.

“Welcome to Lord castle where all your nightmares come true. We’re just trying to find a way out. You’re welcome to join us.” said a woman satirically.
Turning, she bounded across a wooden bridge. Crossing from the other side was a man crouching slightly.
“You know, I understand the sentiment, but I’d appreciate it if you put away that weapon…[Read more]

“Whew I’m crazy ain’t that right! Oh hey, G’day, you steal it too?” The girl got comfortable in her seat. “Call me Red. You?”
Isaac hated these types. They were too easy to get secrets out of. Turning into an alley, Isaac stopped the truck. Reaching into his coat, he pulled out his pistol.
“Out. Now.”
“Hey! You can’t..!”
Isaac didn’t let he…[Read more]

“Master Ziess? Prince Gavril? Ehud? What’s going on?”
Klein froze. He wasn’t alone. It was a rookie mistake. Turning his head, he saw them. They looked human but Klein remembered the spider he had killed on Mars. Outside of his robotic extras, he looked human too.
There were a half dozen or so. They were split up on two sides of a bridge. None…[Read more]
