@grace-tolkienista *waves back* I think the pile of Embers here at Story Embers is a Shardpool. Although I know that makes no sense π

@j-parkhurst π Epicness. I like watching SCA reenactments, especially the fighting, although I’ve only seen one once.
I, too, am left handed π I think @elizabeth and I were the only ones before we met you… nice to have here π

@lenakarynn A New Englander! That is very thrilling. I, too, am a New Englander although so far I don’t know any other Emberlings who are. What state do you live in, if you don’t mind me asking?
Also, what is the premise if your fantasy novel? That’s pretty cool that you’re going to self-publish π
I’m a fantasy writer, too, still working on…[Read more]

@literatureforthelight π Hi… yeah. Thank you. That tag was good for my memory skills though
Have you readΒ Ranger’s Apprentice? Which was your favorite book? I read them awhile ago, and remember really liking them, especially Will and the plots. I also read the first Brotherband book… I love how John Flanagan builds comradery between his…[Read more]

@j-a-penrose *nods* I do that sometimes too. I’ll also go back to old projects time to time and find they weren’t nearly as awesome as I had imagined…

@toklaham-veruzia π Love the profile pic. Lifetime Lego Fan here.
Also, love the author list. Tolkien, Lewis, and Sanderson are some of my favorite authors of all time. Have you read the Stormlight Archive?

@Happyholly_c π Delighted to see you here, because I must confess I am not an optimist (except when I’m on Story Embers)
What sort of films do you make? Have you tried short films? I have a little experience making my own films, and it’s great fun.
Also, do you have any writing projects you are currently working on?

@livgiordano Hi π
I remember you from Kingdom Pen, of course!
I’ve tried a little realistic fiction, but I’m terrible at it. Its cool to have someone here more adept at that.
*nods* School/life can be quite an enemy to writing. 😒And not writing is very painful for any born writer. Hopefully you can get back to it soon

@elizabeth Are you already familiar with all that stuff, by the way? Sometimes I assume when I’m learning them, other people must be too, and I forget all the different levels of writing education people have had.

Are you currently working on any projects? Have you ever created a fantasy world?

@elizabeth Hmm.
Yeah.
Let me just say ‘hmm’ because I’m still thinking.
Okay.
She’s a ‘huge, shapeless mess’, so I think in that case she needs some focus. If dear Evyn is too sprawling, try cutting down her character to two or three of her most essential traits. The things that hold up the foundations of her entire personality, and then work…[Read more]

@scribbles 15 years? Impressive π
I’ve been going seriously for eight or nine months, that’s all.
What are some of the pieces you’ve had published?
Hmm. My favorite smell might be baking bread. Or maybe fresh pine needles. Or perhaps… just a warm breeze, full of the scent of fresh leaves and spring

@girlsetfree Story Embers and Kingdom Pen are awesome, as forums π
For awhile, I didn’t know anything like them existed. And now suddenly there are two amazing writing communities.
What is the premise of your submarine novel?
Also, do you like raspberries? Those are healthy and delicious. My pet dragon Stan loves raspberries
