I memorized Nothing Gold Can Stay when I was younger because I loved it so much (I also was assigned to memorize a poem, but hey, I killed two birds with one stone).
I liked Billy Collins Poetry! It took me a bit to get used to, but it’s growing on me. I liked What I Learned Today, Room of a Thousand Miles and Lines Lost Among Trees…[Read more]

Inciting and Key Events

The Key Event is what the story is about. For example, when Lizzy meets, and is rejected by, Darcy.
These are two events that the first fourth of the story hinges around. Sometimes they will…[Read more]

Yes. Definitely! I’m taking anything I can get! Also, you might want to think about using softer swords. My dad made some with… oh what was it? I don’t remember. Some sort of plastic tube that he put a pool noodle over and there was duck tape involved and stuff, but I sword fight with those, which are definitely kinda soft so it’s…[Read more]

@libby WOW that sounds serious. :O
Yeah, @kari-karast Like Libby said, it’s the same for me; I wanted to deny the seriousness to the point where I easily convinced myself I was fine. And told everyone that I was fine. To the point where when my mom tells people about it, she says it didn’t slow me down at all but I was ready to swordfight the…[Read more]

@libby  Thanks so much!  I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Your poem was very fun to read. Â I like your rhyme scheme, and the rhythm and choice of words were delightful. Â It reminded me of perhaps an alien visiting earth, and being confused by our strange customs. Â (That probably sounds weird.)Â 👽
