We humans are so confusing…🙃
@gracelivingston I’m glad I’m not alone. 🤗
Hobbyist writers are cool too. xD
@evelyn Ooh, those are some good thoughts!
Okay, can I just stop and say how beautiful this is?!! That is such a good definition of art!
And that’s so cool that you have a verse for your writing. I love that idea! ❤️

I can finally hop onto this thread. xD (Can I say thank you @josiah for not putting what you thought in the original post?? The temptation of reading that received notification email would have been too much.)
Where do I start though? There is so much about this movie. Its plot. Its plot holes. Its characters. Its making (11 years process…[Read more]

@josiah Oh yeah… Maybe he just came back to let everyone know what happened to him.
It’s been a couple of more hours and I have thought some more.
- I had thought more people were going to die. Going in, I would’ve been surprised if a one or two of the minor avengers lived, and I thought all of the big three would die. (Though I was hoping…

Thanks for the tag, @pursuewisdom!
The bits from @josiah resonated with me. Seeing people say “It doesn’t matter how good I am, God will work through me!” and “This is for God’s glory, not man’s, so I need not adhere to the standards of man (with, like, editing)” drive me insane. We need to be great storytellers if we want to be great Christian…[Read more]

Hey all!
I’m here to talk about the latest podcast episode on how our faith impacts our storytelling. 😀 @Josiah, @Hope-Ann, and @Brandon-Miller tackled the topic pretty thoroughly for a 15-minute discussion, but I wanted to open up a thread to keep the conversation going. It’s one of my favorite topics we’ve covered in the podcast so far and I…[Read more]

@josiah What a relief! 😀 I’ll try to implement the way I approach planning versus doing in other parts of my life and then dig into drafting. Thank you so much!

I have a story idea, (finally!) and I’ve been trying to outline before I start writing the actual story. However, getting everything figured out is turning out to be pretty hard. (My main resources have been K.M. Weiland’s blog and Story Embers resources) When I write poetry, I draft out my idea with very little planning but with a strong idea of…[Read more]

Thanks all! I’ll look into those soon.
@evelyn Yep, that’s all I could think of too. xD I’m kind of surprised this sort of setting isn’t more common, but I guess it’s not the most natural place for conflict. It’s perfect for my story’s themes though.

Hello everyone!
Have any of you read (or heard of) any speculative fiction that is set shortly after the overlord/government has been defeated? Since my newest fantasy WIP is going to be set immediately following a major world war, I would like to study what other authors have done with a similar setting—what they explored for themes, what…[Read more]

So, I’m plotting my latest and greatest novel at the moment, but I’ve come across a plot hole, and unfortunately, it keep getting bigger the more duct tape I put on it.

For the sake of secrecy, since I haven’t announced this idea to anyone yet, suffice it to say the government is mostly evil, the radicals are also evil and the main character…[Read more]

I’m having the same problem…so we can assume that it’s not our computers.

@daeus-lamb @josiah can you help us?

@jane-maree Yes, it currently is a cliffhanger ending… I’ll keep in mind the point about having his POV slowly phase out though 😉
