Hey SE people!
We’ve launched a cool new feature on the forum called groups.
You can find them in the nav bar like so:

Groups are hubs for writers to gather around something they share in common. They include a Facebook-like feed and most of them also include their own forums.
So far there are three types of groups:

@sir-leeds I love your poem!
I do see what Story Ember meant now about the embellishments. You’re not flaunting a bunch of different poetry techniques in this poem (but you do use vivid language). Also, the poem’s character is a child, so there is power in the simplicity of the character’s voice. 🙂
I love the ending lines:
“And the lonely lamp…[Read more]

@sir-leeds @k-a-grey Thank you so so SO much for all the amazing feedback. 🙂 I’ll be sure to tag you all when I post the next edit!
@sir-leeds Would you post that poem about the children? I would love to read it! Also, I made an account with Submittable. 🙂 I didn’t know Footprints in the Sand when I wrote my poem, but I see the similarity that…[Read more]

I saw that no Rillumen members had responded yet so I thought I’d go ahead and tag y’all just in case anyone missed it.
I’ve spent moke time baking so far this week than writing.¯_(ツ)_/¯ I will definitely try to wring a couple of hundred words out of tonight though. Does anyone have a word goal for this week?…[Read more]

Hello peeps,
I guess I can’t be sure, but I assume Brandon has said goodbye to you? Well, not bye, but that he’s stepped down from guildmastering due to an overwhelming work load.
I wanted to step in on his behalf to let you know about the future of the guilds.
Many other among the guildmasters noticed that the job is mentally taxing and that…[Read more]

@emma-starr I think it’s lovely. I think you have some great images in there, but you could, as @sir-leeds said, “embellish” it a bit. For example, try not to use trite expressions. We know that winter is grey and cold, now let us see it in a new way. So instead of saying the tea is cold, you could say it has “lost its warmth, lost its sou…[Read more]

@emma-starr I love it!
However, like @sir-leeds said, Story Embers has a very particular style they like and I have my own style and you have yours. *shrugs* I’m not sure what to tell you. 😛

@anne_the_noob14 Thank you!!
@sir-leeds I appreciate your feedback! What I’m actually trying to convey is a process of healing over the course of a year. As the seasons go by (with similar themes in each), the girl becomes more and more reconciled. In that light, what changes to you think should happen? Maybe what’s happening in the last section…[Read more]

Hey, guys! Lately, I’ve been experimenting with some silly poetry. (It’s sort of half bad poetry, half good poetry…I’m not sure how to explain it). I’m interested in your opinons. 😉
ALSO, if any of y’all have been writing silly poetry, showcase it on this thread! Weirdness and silliness are welcome!!

Okay, guys! Time for a discussion!
Recently, I’ve been juggling a novella challenge and the 100 for 100 challenge. I kind of left the novella challenge by the wayside, but not before writing around 23,000 words for one draft and 4-5 for another in a different pov. I also thought this would be a good chance to try my hand at first person, since my…[Read more]
