@eden-anderson, Your story sounds so sad and sweet! 😥❤ My dad plays guitar, so stories about guitarist are always a little nostalgic for me. I’m sure yours will turn out beautifully!
@arindown, Ahh! Your story sounds like something I would love to read. 😄 Country town, large cast of characters… 👌 Oh, yeah.

Ah! Thank you all SO much for giving your answers! You’ve really helped me think more about my character and story, and I’ve had some new ideas due to all of your thoughts, so I’m really excited! 🙂
@arindown, Yes, that was very helpful! I can have a bit of a one-track mind sometimes, so it’s easy for me to get so caught up in all her messiness I…[Read more]

Aw, why thank you!
I’ve heard of the Mitford series…but I’ve never read them and I’m not very familiar but your story sounds wonderful. Very cozy and sweet and comforting! 😊 I’d love to hear more about it! Is it like a full series of novels set in Mapleton? Or a…[Read more]

@wolverinerm Your story sounds amazing.😆 I think you totally found a hole in storytelling that needs to be filled. Keep it up.
I have actually never heard the song Mayberry, but the old TV Andy Griffith show was set in a little town called Mayberry.😊 I love normal, yet interesting country life (being a small-town girl) and I want to show that in…[Read more]

@arindown Thank you!! That means a lot. 😀
I love to read…I may or may not be addicted to books. -innocent whistling- Also, I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends (real-life and internet), listening to music, and sometimes doing the occasional craft/art project. I just started getting into the bookstagram thing, so that’s been…[Read more]

Yeah, it’s hard for me to figure out how to add in description without it sounding like an info dump… This is just my first draft of the chapter, so I will have to think over how to sneak some details in. 😉

@mayacat I finally got the watercolor of Blake done! Sorry his face doesn’t look quite right. . . and also sorry if spots in the middle don’t look right. The picture’s two pieces of paper (don’t ask. . .) and I tried to spot fix the line so it wouldn’t show too much.

Also @wolverinerm I have not forgotten yours!! I think I’ve finally got a…[Read more]

Another character question, this one from Kristianne!
I know that most people (myself included) often find energetic, active, and sassy characters (especially girls) more interesting than quiet and reserved characters. One of my main characters is quiet, more passive (although she definitely acts), and proper. How do I make her seem interesting,…

No, getting a snake was not scary at all. We got him when he was just a baby so he was very, very small and docile. There was one time when he made himself into a “knot” and just sat in my hand shortly after we got him. Maybe I can send a picture of that sometime. It was adorable. 🙂
Is the snake in TX, that you used to play with,…[Read more]

Yes!!! I think choosing the characters names are super important!! I always look at the meaning of the name and see if it fits my character. I name my characters like I was naming a child, because my characters are going to live the rest of their (storyhood?) with that name!! I think a lot a…[Read more]
