Yes!!! I think choosing the characters names are super important!! I always look at the meaning of the name and see if it fits my character. I name my characters like I was naming a child, because my characters are going to live the rest of their (storyhood?) with that name!! I think a lot about their names.

Some people laugh at me for it, but hey, if your parents names you something stupid wouldn’t you be upset? I don’t want my characters mad at me.

This brings up another topic. My characters write themselves sometimes. I’m serious!! Sometimes I have my own plan, but my characters decide something else. I even feel my characters emotions while I’m writing. I hate the bad ones, kill the mean people, love the lovable ones, stay on the good sides of the unpredictable ones and put myself in their life.

I really think a ton about my characters and laugh at me if you want but that’s one thing I absolutely do in my story.
