Hi Emily! My name is Melody. Glad to have you join us 😉
I don’t use Story Embers much… or write much, but those are both things I want to do wayyyy more 😛
Ooooh, you’ll have to share some of your poetry. I’m not as much of a poetry person, but my sister totally is.
If you have any questions or anything on Story Embers, don’t…[Read more]
Third person also is fine with me!
I can write in the next week, but I will be out of town the week of the 13th (I always seem to go out of town when we’re writing, lol! I think it’s happened both summers).
After that I can write as much as I am able. I have a super busy summer ahead of me, but that’s normal, 😀
Personally, I do not think that we should have more than one point of view… that would be confusing.
Pros of First: easier to write characters emotions, feelings, and thoughts
Pros of Third: better clarification
Good point. First and Third are both totally fine for me. XD
Yes, let’s do a mix of both for the beginning.
And then for my characters, should I write a beginning for Ryumon too?? He is the MC who we put in to get a perspective of the slavery aspects of things.
At last, I have arrived! Okay, so sorry 😔
So, I have like 2 weeks left of school. I’m almost done, then I can actually like think about this? Yes, okay. (Well just so you know though I’ll be out of town June 12-18) but outside of that I can write.
Throwing in my thoughts from the RP-ing thread…[Read more]
Yeah, the first 900 words that I’ve written are very sad. Hopefully it doesn’t get too depressing *face palm* I guess it’s just one of those books.
And yessssss… the planning is crucial. I felt like I had planned so much, for so long, and then I started writing and less than 700 words in, I got stuck. I wrote 200 more a while later. It…[Read more]
I’ve actually gotten that question before on this website XD! (maybe that’s a sign… that I should revise that and make it more clear). She’s feels guilt because the car accident was her fault, and several children died, or were seriously injured… so pretty horrific.
Is your name actually Erynne? If so, I love the way you spell it!…[Read more]
Oh, and there was a tie for Medical Branch. Of the options of #3 and #4 I would vote for option #4.
Okey-dokey! Thanks so much for doing all that!
So are we the only 4 still committed to this?
I think our next step should be to solidify our MAIN characters, and their role in our story.
Here’s what I have so far (and this is just from the three that I tagged as well as myself). We’ll need to…[Read more]
My current main story does not have a name, and I’ve only written 900 words. I’ve done a lot of brainstorming though 🙂
It’s about a girl named Erin who lives in a country over taken by a large (and growing) rebel group who calls themselves the Insurgents. At the beginning, her Father leaves to fight against them, and as the oldest, she’s…[Read more]

A and B
I agree with Thwap about how #2 has more to do with diplomacy, but I really like the idea from #1, so maybe we could do a morph of both of them, because I’m pretty sure that would be possible. (not to complicate things or anything… lol)
Hey guys! I’ve been out of town for a week, so before I vote I’m gonna catch up on the previous stuff from page 39.
- Joelle’s plot list:
Sounds very good. Thanks for putting all that together!
So, who is the Kid? I think I missed out on the times we talked about him… and I know nothing…[Read more]
Yeah, that sounds great!
I dunno if this would be helpful, but here is a list of everything we’ve been developing for the last 8 months (I can’t decide if that amount of time has felt short, or long… 😛 )
- Main Characters
- Extra Characters
- The Cullings (comprehensive guide, planet, ship)
- The Games in the cullings…
Okay, so I looked in my notes, and my google docs. I’m afraid I have nothing on most of this. I really only have a backstory for Andor (Neromiro Drake), and a “Mr. B’s Tragic Backstory” which was a google document link that was given by somebody. I don’t have anything on the Kid, or the further developments of Mr. B or A.
Mel replied to the topic Calling All Who Know (or are learning) Latin (NOT a dead language) in the forum Fantasy Writers 6 months ago
Hi! I started learning some latin last school year, but the grade I’m in now doesn’t teach it. I haven’t reviewed it in quite a long time, and through our virtual school, I kinda lost it. We went through mostly verb conjugation charts and vocabulary lists.
Also if I try to edit a post:
K, so what’s the development plan moving forward?
