First, I think applause is called for – thanks Grace, Hope Ann, Brandon, and Josiah for this excellent podcast episode π I loved hearing about all of your thoughts and agree with them.
I can’t really think of anything substantial and new to add to what you all said. I love your emphasis on how our faith unconsciously impacts our writing. And the…[Read more]

@taylorclogston I have not, actually. I will be sure to bump them up higher on my reading list π
@kari-karast I have a bit of a fascination–okay, obsession–with creating and destroying. And I just like the wayΒ Lewis depicts these events. I have the Focus on the Family dramatized audio, and those parts genuinely send shivers down my spine.

@julia Welks! π
@evelyn Running is really good. I tend to run in the mornings and do martial arts when I get a chance during the day if I have to stay inside. And wifi off at 10 pm is actually such a good rule. (Doesn’t exist in our household, but probably…[Read more]

Hello Parimis!
I’m going to say now: feeling unmotivated and discouraged is something I struggle with a lot. I don’t tend to deal with it well (you can occasionally walk into my room to find me curled up in blankets on the floor with a lifetime supply of chai-tea and tissues) but it looks like Faith has a few words of wisdom for us…[Read more]

O.K. Thanks! π
No *shudders* absolutely not. Yes, I am going out of state this fall for college, but my family is staying more of less right where we’ve been my whole life. We just needed to move closer to my dad’s work so that he can get more sleep. π
I’d have to agree… Yes, I’m probably Pippin too. XD I’m always…[Read more]

Haha!! Actually… Sometimes… I make life interesting for my younger siblings by drafting them into short films or weirding them out. π I don’t envy me either. XD I wouldn’t trade places, but I do sometimes wish I had an older brother especially.
Which place in the fellowship do you think you’d have??
It sort of helps that we’re…[Read more]

@taylorclogston I really like this! I don’t have time to write it out right now, but I have some feedback for you. I might not be able to manage it this week, but hopefully next weekend. Is it okay if I don’t get back to you for a week, or do you want to be done before then?

I am working at a greenhouse, stocking, organizing, watering, pruning. First time I’ve been on my feet for nine hours a day. XD But I’m adjusting and never felt better physically. I’d love it completely if it was more part time and I could get back on a steady writing/uploading schedule.
Anyway, thanks for asking! A blessed…[Read more]

Yeah, B.K. was dense. Which is why I’m trying to do some light reading before diving into Mistborn by Sanderson. It took me six months to finish reading B.K.. I LOVE Dostoevsky though – utter brilliance. (Crime and Punishment is a great read as well, and I thought it is less dense than B.K.) Tolstoy’s War and Peace is next in line…[Read more]

This is our Weekly Guild Discussion from Brandon this week, and we’ll be looking at a really cool topic: Reading. Without any further rambling at the front, we’ll hand over to Brandon.
Okay so, weβre all writers, right? We weave words and spin tales and generally have a good go at reality. For most of us though, our love for s…[Read more]

@taylorclogston I just read the story and left a couple suggestions for you to consider.
It was so good, and I really enjoyed it! I thought it was a really neat story and I found it very interesting. I thought the first person voice was very realistic and fun… very frank and intriguing. π
