First things first – I thought you were the OP. *facepalm* Woops lol. Most of that really long-ish rant was meant for the OP….
Anyhow, so the differentiation between “common-place” and “special ability” magic to me is just simply how it occurs in the natural world. Common place magic is something everyone can learn, with var…[Read more]

@deeprun We might have technomagic that is astounding in its complexity (I can still barely believe printers exist), but it’s commonplace. The average Jo still can’t throw fire from her hands =P I think if something is beyond human capability, people will dream of it. We all want to be more than we are, right? That’s kind of a core part of the…[Read more]

@deeprun Well, the quadratic equation was originally “derived” in it’s basic form by Euclid, who lived at around 300 B.C.. Meanwhile, I can’t even begin to wrap my head around derivatives even with the wonderful tools we have(calculators, absolutely the best invention ever), in the 21st century. XD In the late 1700’s to early 1800’s, Thomas Young…[Read more]

@pookiemonster , Hi!
Thanks, my characters are something else, that’s for sure.
I love fantasy fiction, sci-fi, and adventure a lot.
Right now, my favorite book is Heartless by Marissa Meyer. (Sneakily slides a book recommendation in here)
My favorite writing genres are fantasy, Adventure, Sci-fi, Post-Apocalyptic, and Dystopian.

Hey SE people!
We’ve launched a cool new feature on the forum called groups.
You can find them in the nav bar like so:

Groups are hubs for writers to gather around something they share in common. They include a Facebook-like feed and most of them also include their own forums.
So far there are three types of groups:
1. Word war…[Read more] -

Hey there! YES STAR WARS! Well, I am most definitely a die hard fan for sure. So I got you there!
Great question! It’s so hard to pick, because I have ones for each trilogy! But I really love Leia, Han, Rey, and Padme. For minor characters I really love Lando and Baze and Chirrut! What about you?

Thanks for the doughnuts. I’m doing NaNoWriMo, so I should have a decent number of words. But I keep getting distracted by reading theology and Jane Austen fanfiction. The first keeps giving me new ideas for the social order of my kingdoms. The second reminds me that I have a few things reminiscent of the regency period.
