I purchased by website theme from creativemarketplace.com. It’s a great place to find awesome-looking, more professional themes and the ones I’ve used were fairly easy to install and customize. And as for post photos, I’ve just been using the option WordPress gives to find free stock photos from Pexel. 🙂 Hope that helps!

www.jennaterese.comThat’s awesome that you’re starting a blog! 😀 I personally use WordPress (hosted by Bluehost) which has worked out really well so far (but I know of people who use Squarespace as well). One of my biggest tips, especially since you’re planning on blogging about your author journey, is to do some branding. Figure out what defines you/your stories, how you want to reach people, what people you want to draw towards your content, and things like a color scheme and logo, etc. will greatly help in building your platform. And of course, posting consistently is great too. 🙂 I hope that helps!

www.jennaterese.com@selha-chelyah That’s so exciting that you’re publishing! 😀 I’m not published yet, but I hope some of the research I’ve done can help you… About ISBNs, you can purchase them from here (in bulk, even, which saves money). And I believe they have an option to buy barcodes as well. But if you’re publishing with Amazon, I think they generate the barcode for you. As for copyrighting, what I’ve heard from other authors is that it’s not SUPER necessary, but it’s still a good safeguard to have in place just in case something happened in the future.

www.jennaterese.com@anne_the_noob14 Well, somebody else correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary to have the reader know absolutely everything before the story actually starts. I would suggest just trying to weave it into the story, describing different things of the world as the characters interact with them.
