@karthmin Seriously, it’s worth writing this story just for a response like that. 😂
I may or may not grant your petition… 😉
@evelyn You’re too epic not to be in the story. 😉🤗 And my apologies for making you blonde. 😜 I’ve only seen a black-and-white picture of you, I think, and your hair looked blondish in the photo. Oh well. …[Read more]

I see you have entered a couplet war,
But I shall post mine, then intrude no more:

Inspire me, Your words to write.
@evelyn By the way, I really liked yours.

@evelyn Our local book/coffee shop has a magnet poetry board hanging on one of the doors inside. People put together lines of poetry from the little magnets and you can be inspired and make your own. It’s really cool.

Dwarven mythology and the natural tendency to match it with other way-too-cliched works of now-boring fiction? How about that? Then after this (however brief or long) we could give a short/long presentation of any dwarven mythology any one of us has ever come up with. Or has had…[Read more]

No problem! I know, I’ve been super busy too. It’s crazy. I thought when school starts things would slow down, but NOPE. Ah well, it’s a good kind of busy, I think.
Thank you!! 😁 I’m so excited! And it’s very hard to believe it’s actually coming, and not just a make-believe dream. But the cover is proof, so that’s…[Read more]

Heyyy guys! It’s me. 🙂
I’m getting my first book published with Word Alive Press! It’s going to be coming out in a few months or so, but I’m preparing for a cover reveal on social media. I’m looking to recruit bloggers, facebook-ers (?), and anyone else who just wants to show someone my book! 😉
Here’s some info:

@corine Heyo! I’ve done NaNo a couple years running, and I’ve found one of the best strategies for me is just to have fun. This is a first draft, after all, so you can experiment as much as you like, and if you think giving all your background characters the most ridiculous names ever sounds fun, you can! And writing feels like less of a chore…[Read more]

Here’s another poem I wrote a long time ago… This one was actually last December when I was awake late one night and pretty much emotionally exhausted so… It’s a little depressing.
But go ahead and give critique (which I don’t know how to do with poetry) if you’d like!!
When It Hurts to Cry
I lay there quiet,…[Read more]

I was thinking about Inkarnate when my brother pointed this out to me, so I thought it would be a good thing to ask… Would a Chromebook be able to handle Inkarnate? I plan on just using the free version, but I still don’t want the website to murder my laptop. XD So yeah, do you think a dinky Chromebook could handle the site?

Hi! I added you all (except for some reason I wasn’t able to add you @evelyn 🙁 ). Hopefully that’s okay; I’m just so excited to have writing buddies over there!
My username is corineiswriting on NaNoWriMo.
Has anyone actually successfully completed a NaNo? And if so, HOW? What are your best tips and tricks?

Ha aha great! Two of your favorite stories? (As in ones you’ve written?)
Aye! One is an Aetherlight fanfic, one is my first fantasy book.
Anyways. I’ll try at least.
That’s the spirit! You never know what will happen when you “at least” try. Sometimes it turns into something marvelous. 😉

@kari-karast Wow! Thank you! 🙂
@evelyn That was the intent, lol. XD
Love the idea of mix and match. It’s like legos, but with words and ideas.
@r-m-archer Thank you, I’ll definitely look at that as I’m considering what to do. Preptober here we come. 😀

@ariella-newheart Oh, that’s too bad. The inspiration for this actually came from a couple ideas that didn’t go anywhere. 😛 And ooh, post-apocalyptic fantasy? That might be cool…

I have a blog post about how to choose a story idea, if that’s helpful. And @evelyn‘s suggestion to combine ideas is really good.
Thanks for the mention, Evelyn! ^-^ The introduction post to this year’s Preptober Prompts can be found here. 🙂
