@anne_the_noob14 Ooh, nice drawing! That is how I imagined the layout of the hall.
@christlover It’s perfectly okay if you changed the setup of the hall. The castle is very flexible (literally). It may appear different in the eyes of different characters. The goal of this topic is to help you get to know your characters by writing with them. If…[Read more]

Good job. The touch with Theseus being surprised was perfect, that was exactly how he would act as he is quite awkward around girls unless he knows them well. There are a couple of things that I realized I didn’t put in my earlier description of him that are probably important. He is incredibly independent, so after he gets over…[Read more]

@elisha-starquill Got it.
Yes. He was born in a (made-up) city in Rhode Island, and grew up there. In his late teens he moved to England to study, and then when he finished (I say finished… he actually hasn’t finished, but he gets to go around different places and research, so he can kinda work from home) his studies, he moved to Scotland,…[Read more]

@anne-the-noob14
Thanks for the tip! I have always struggled with punctuation in general, and your explanation has made the most sense so far. I will make sure to correct it in the future. Sorry that I got the layout wrong, I am told that I change the look of settings in my mind a lot when they are described to me. A drawing or an in-depth…[Read more]

@christlover No, there’s no limit. ๐ Bringing one character in now and some others later is a good idea.
Theseus sounds like a cool character! I don’t think you neglected to describe anything about him…except maybe his personality type. Do you happen to know it? Reading his bio I would guess ESTP. ๐

@elisha-starquill Ooh… I like Racleva’s character so far! (Is it ra-CLEE-va?) And is she a wolf or a person? Or in-between? The way you describe her, she could be either.. This is gonna get interesting quite soon I see ๐ย ย Lucas has zero magic in his world. The only difference is he lives in the mid-1800s, as opposed to present day. So I’m n…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14 The Castle Glower series, you say? That sounds interesting. I may have to look it up. Ooh, good description for Lucas. I like all the details you added.
Don’t worry! You didn’t mess up Caedon! I love Lucas’ observations about Caedon’s stance and how he treats strangers with respect. That’s perfect. And his reaction to the…[Read more]

Oops, I’ve been off for a while! :/
@evelyn I’m doing a fanfiction challenge this month (an Inktober spinoff) and really enjoying it! It’s been great motivation to actually write because fanfiction is easier, and there’s so many scenes I’d love to fill in from my favorite book series. We’ll see about my WIP…
Thank you so much! I love writing…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14 I’m actually not sure what kind of fabric it is. I got it from a sale at a church and there were no labels on it. It’s not thin like cotton and is relatively durable. (It might be linen, but I can’t say for sure.) Any fabric would probably work as long as you have enough of it. I used gabardine for a red cloak and it turned out…[Read more]

@elisha-starquill Aw, yeah. Fire can be pretty scary. I happen to be quite fascinated by it, though, and campfires are one of my favorite things ever. But I definitely understand the fear of it.

@elisha-starquill I used this pattern! Cloaks are simpler than a dress, for instance, but it can still be tricky if you don’t read the instructions. (Basically, don’t try to cut out fabric at eleven o’clock at night. ๐ ) You’ll need cloak fabric plus lining fabric, though for the green one I only used lining on the hood. (It’s probably better to…[Read more]

At the center of Parimi Alca, where all biomes and genres converge, a splendid structure stands high on a hill. A remnant of ages past, it has remained untouched from the very foundation of the world. The ancient stonework, a medley of different architecture, most resembles a Victorian castle. Enter through a door of weathered green wood and you…[Read more]
