Oh yes…my class was gagging the whole time and we had to crack the window open even though it was freezing outside. xD I’m doing chemistry this year. The math is insane, but I LOVE the labs. I mean…setting stuff on fire and making things explode? Yes please. 😛

No, I don’t usually pick a topic before I write. Most of the time I write poetry because it helps me process something that’s been on my mind, but it’s never put together enough for me to share it. It usually ends up switching topics half way through, or the metaphors aren’t consistent, etc. I’ve never written a poem for a contest before, so I thought maybe picking a topic would help keep me on track.

@ariella-newheart Ahh, that’s good advice! I’m planning to develop their friendship a lot first before I take it to that level, so hopefully it won’t be too awkward. 😛

Yeah, taking breaks from a certain project for a while really helps. Writing mini stories on the side is a great idea! I usually do that for brainstorming, but I haven’t done it in a while. I should try it again.
