I don’t know if this would change your last reply, but when I mentioned your name, @briannastorm, I was referring to this part of what you wrote:
It was in reference to those statements that I said what I did about one’s Christian identity (and then, I was specifically thinking of writing and art, not editing). I was quite unclear, though,…[Read more]

*settles down on heap of treasure* *moves because it’s terribly uncomfortable to rest on*
So, I do think there is a difference between something like the editing @briannastorm does and writing. At least how I view it, editing is more of something anyone would sit down and do the same way. Well, I say anyone. I couldn’t do it, and people who can…[Read more]

While I agree with what @josiah said, I don’t know if I could personally do it.
Also, I feel like there are potentially two things going on in our minds when we hear the phrase “writing for money”. On the one hand is writing for money, which @briannastorm mentioned. In this scenario, your entire approach to writing could be interpreted as c…[Read more]

@mariposa I seriously thought when Edna twirled her tail in excitement that she was going to accidentally create a tornado. xD But the best part, hands down, was the part where everybody shrieks at the idea of writers-block-inducing frogs and then @briannastorm kills them all with her red ink that has never failed her yet. That is top-notch stuff…[Read more]

Hello!
Upon filling out my guild submission form, I didn’t understand what was meant by “Your tag on the forum,” so I put “Catherine.” In actuality, my tag is “@writercatherine .” Is it possible for this to be corrected? Thank you!

I would TOTALY recommend a Mac book air. I got mine in 2014 and it still runs like new! I bought mine brand new[ ” want a Macintosh laptop, packaging so posh. Fits like a glove in that tiny little white box” (Toby Mac’s I want a mac daddy)] (with help from my parents) My brothers also have airs and got theirs recently but refurbished. @jane-maree, @everyone, I think we need to examine this deeper. While Paolini, was homeschooled he graduated at 15 and began working on his first novel (Eragon). It was heavily promoted through his parents publishing company. That may explain how he got away with so much. Also, he was 15 when he wrote it. According to Wikipedia, he was influenced…[Read more]

Hi! I know I haven’t been on in a while, I’ve been crazy busy 🙂 But I am wondering if anyone knows of other magazines/contests I could submit stories to. There are a ton out there but most of them publish post-modernism, which I don’t write or like, so I’m looking for some that publish other types of fiction or fantasy.
Anyone who knows of any,…[Read more]

Hi all! I had a couple blogging related questions and instead of creating a whole new topic for it, I just thought I’d ask them right here. 🙂
1) How do you get people to do guest posts on your blog? Just by knowing other bloggers? 2) how do you get asked to do a guest post for someone else? I assume just be patient and wait until I’m asked 😉 3)…[Read more]

alrighty, y’all. here’s the dealio: I had this book idea that I wanted to be in omniscient POV. but the thing is, whenever I read a story with that POV, I hate it.
So, is there a way to do this POV where the reader won’t feel distant and will still love the characters?
