Best part: Seeing what people enjoyed about my stories. (This is especially cool with Lost Girl, which I didn’t even like all that much when I wrote it, but those who have read it have loved.) Making people smile (or just brightening their day somehow) makes me smile. (And, if I’m being completely honest, making some extra money…[Read more]

I’m not sure. On ebook prices below a certain price threshold I think there’s only a 30% option, but I’m not sure why it’s an option otherwise. I don’t know if someone who’s been using KDP more or opted specifically not to use KDP might have more insight on that?

Well… I personally stink at marketing for the most part, and I also haven’t done a whole lot with it yet. (Since all I’ve published so far are short stories that I don’t really want to make a huge deal of, I haven’t done a lot of marketing for them.) But I think every author starts out stinking at marketing and just has to learn…[Read more]

@r-m-archer Hey, that’s no small feat.
This month was my very first time working with a hired editor! Itβs been awesome.
Congratulations! That you got an edit and are excited is always a good sign. Keep up that hearty spirit.
I desperately want it out
That’s always good. π Hopefully it’s fun too.

I used to live with a lot of people, but they all died. Now I live with a lot of ghosts.
It sounds grim, but itβs actually rather comforting not to be alone.
Each morning I wake up to the vision of my mother pulling back the curtains in my bedroom. The pale smile lacks the love that I once would see, b…[Read more]

It’s an annual event, so if you want I can make a note to let you know when it comes around next year. I lost last year, but it still got almost 30k out of it, and so far I’m ahead of where I was this time last year, so at least in my experience it can provide a huge productivity boost.
Ooh! What editor are you working with, out of…[Read more]

I have returned.
Let the long post begin.
@nuetrobolt I would take a test to determine your temperaments. While opposite temperaments in one person do happen (I am living proof) they are very rare, so you should be sure. I think it would be a good idea for your characters, because, while personalities are…[Read more]

Thanks!
I love to write. It DOES get stressful sometimes, but I usually write to de-stress-inize, so if I start to stress, I just straight quit for an hour or two. XD
Happens to the best of us. π I REALLY love Anne-Elizabeth Stengl’s “Tales of Goldstone Wood” and Ted Dekker’s “Paradise Trilogy”.

Why to write outside

@bama-rose I used to find the letters challenging, but now I’m pretty good at guessing types. It just takes practice, I guess. π Since the MBTI can only go so far, I’m definitely going to try sorting out the different temperaments of my characters.

@kayla-skywriter I just took the test and apparently I’m Sanguine-Phlegmatic. After finding a site that explains a little about the temperaments, I think I might actually be Phlegmatic-Sanguine. Is that even possible?
Eyy, I’m the same as you, @bama-rose.
