@ashira: We have ticks in the summer. When I was younger I was scarred of them. But… I also didn’t like spiders. When I was in bed, I knew the spiders liked the darkness, so I was afraid to put the blanket over me for fear that the spiders would find it nice and dark under the blanket (despite that the entire room was dark.) And it was cold so I…[Read more]

@ashira: yeah, I wouldn’t really like that either.
Every once in a while we might spot a mouse in our house, but that’s rare. We don’t ever have bats or rats, though. Ladybugs, spiders, sometimes ticks at summer… and sometime a wasp might get caught in the house, but they don’t usually do any harm. Unless one of my siblings gets stung by one.

@kari-karast IKR!?!? AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
@theinconceivable1 Oog. I feel you. Cousins are annoying and very tiring… Well most of the time at least. I have an 11 year old cousin who’s pretty cool. And then I have a five year old cousin and a three year old cousin. *winces* VERY tiring.
@kari-karast But… no feelings or girly stuff kinda cuts down on…[Read more]

@ashira: yeah, it’s cool when the cocoon is like that. At first the butterfly’s wings are all crumpled, then they straighten up. It’s fun watching them.

Hi Ariel!
Glad to know you’re also a historical fiction writer! The American West in the mid 1800s is a very interesting time period. That’s a great setting! My current WIP is set in the post Civil War South, which has been a bit more challenging than I realized historically and emotionally. After the first draft, I realized it feels a…[Read more]

Screeeeeeeech!!!
Yikes. Don’t do that, Cassie. You’ll scare everybody away. And you can’t afford to do that. You need these people.
But why?
Because how else can you create the next greatest fantasy series if you don’t have a bunch of beta-readers giving feedback?
Hmm. You’re right. Scaring…[Read more]
