@ashira: We have ticks in the summer. When I was younger I was scarred of them. But… I also didn’t like spiders. When I was in bed, I knew the spiders liked the darkness, so I was afraid to put the blanket over me for fear that the spiders would find it nice and dark under the blanket (despite that the entire room was dark.) And it was cold so I wanted to wrap up in the blanket, but I still didn’t want to put the blankets because… whatever. Something I did as a child. Xd

Also, we have dozens of garter snakes at summer. Sometimes my other siblings had hunted them down (once Luke, my brother, said was almost like an arcade on the hill.)
