I just thought I’d share this, if someone didn’t know. For all you students out there, if you have a .edu e-mail you can get two months free on Skillshare. No I’m not sponsored, lol. I’ve been using this for about three weeks now and I’ve actually learned stuff, go figure.
If you’re like me and have had a little extra time on your hands then yo…[Read more]

Emma Huckabee (Emma Starr) started the topic Any Camp Nano Poets? in the forum Poetry Discussions 6 years ago
Hey guys…so I’m a poet…and I’ve always pretended to be allergic to NaNoWriMo and Camp NaNoWriMo. This was because I was thought, geez, a poet like me can’t do that.
Update: A friend of mine has, in fact, convinced me to do that.
I’m going to tackle a poetry editing goal and (I hope) a word count goal this month. So here I am.
I need…[Read more]

I’m conducting a survey, and I would appreciate it SO much if you answered these questions:
- Do you believe Christians should read secular literature (literature produced by non-believers)? Why or why not?
- How should a Christian approach reading secular and/or non secular) literature?
- Can (secular and/or non secular) literature be a source…

Oof… I’m sorry, I don’t believe I can help here, as those two fields are outside what I usually work in. Unless by contemporary you mean contemporarily written. To which I would point at N.D. Wilsons’s Boys of Blur, 100 Cupboards, Ashtown Burrials, Leepike Ridge, and Outlaws of Time. All of those are adventure fiction, but each…[Read more]

@scribbles First of all, I love the title you chose for your forum thread. It seriously made me smile. Secondly, it is so good to meet another kindred spirit through Story Embers!! One of the best things about this site is all the writing folks. Wait, it’s almost entirely populated by writers because it’s a writers’ site? Crazy… XDD

@SCRIBBLES
HIWELCOME BACK
I was actually working at a jobsite for a few weeks this last month with a big silver maple storybook tree in the backyard that was home to like a thousand squirrels. Anyway, I thought of you and was like “too bad she’s not around anymore” BUT NOW YOU ARE.
That’s the point, I guess.

Hi there @scribbles,
I wasn’t here when you introduced yourself last time. So I am going to meet you now.
I love the smell question you asked. Smell is actually my strongest sense, which is unfortunetly more of a bad thing than a good thing. My favorite smell is defininetly horses. I don’t know if normal people love the smell of horses, but…[Read more]
