@parker I think an epilogue is generally a segue into the next book, if there will be a next book. It’s typically not included in the main plot, as in it wouldn’t be part of your denouement. It would be “After the dialogue”—Something extra. If it’s still part of the story you should leave it as a chapter.

@parker Ah yes, very nice! I like the points you’ve got there. Another hair one you can do is have dark/light/’colour’ strands of hair hanging in his/her eyes as they look up, etc. It’s another easy description to have in there without it sounding forced.
