I really like how you’re writing Kiark! I can see how he’s trying and struggling. It’s really fun to read! I hope he gets better though…
Thank you! I’m glad I’m not completely boring you 😛 Part of the reason for all the monologue is me trying to figure him out. And yes, he does turn over a new leaf (which I am persona…[Read more]

Hi Allie!
I love your story idea!
Two main characters (maybe some others) live and train as rangers at the main ranger stronghold. There are ranger outposts throughout the world but ranger’s in training live there. (Yes, I did have this idea before reading ranger’s apprentice ) In my book rangers are like a mix of durgans and range…

Welcome to Story Embers, Allie!! I looooove music, too! What are your favorite music genres? Do you have a favorite instrument to listen to?
That’s awesome that you’re an ENFP! I’m an INFJ but I know several ENFPs (including my mom) XD Do you know your enneagram number?

Hi Allie!
I’m Rose! I’m also an artist and a writer (obviously XD). I drew my profile picture. 😉 I’d love to see one of your drawings if you’d like to share it!
I’d also love to hear your story plot!
I’m working on my first novel too. I’m currently revising it and working on the sequel. It’s (hopefully) going to be a trilogy. It’s…[Read more]

Hey!! I’m Ella, and I’m also an ENFP!! I’d love to learn more about your WIP (I think we all do! 😄)
THAGS! I love the Wingfeather Saga! Which book is your favorite? I like the 3rd one the best. Maybe the 4th. I play the piano a little, but I definitely like listening to music better. I’m weird, so i listen to a weird, wide va…[Read more]

@littlewolf Lots of my story ideas come when I read a really good book but think, “I would do that one thing differently.”
One cool trick that might spark some ideas is to try to imagine a story that’s a mash of two other stories. For instance, “Writer The Count of Monte Cristo meets Peter Pan.” Or The Brothers Karamozov meets The Lord of the Rin…[Read more]

I would definitely agree with the others about listening to music – I think it can help if you listen to something that is similar to what you’re trying to write (like emotional music that makes you feel emotional if you’re trying to write a sad scene or intense music for that scene that’s just filled with thrilling action) For…[Read more]

This is a great question. For me, as a new writer, I like to let things sit for a bit in my head when I get stuck. I find that pictures, music, and movies are a great way to get my “ember” ball rolling again. Don’t follow other people’s work exactly, but take what you like about it, and make it yours. For example, lets say you love…[Read more]

I feel you! 😋 My overarching advice is for you to, when you’re feeling writer’s block, play some music, get on Pinterest, and pin every prompt or picture that could help you start writing. 🙂
So do I. That’s my constant struggle, because everything seems to be used already!! 😂 When that happens, try to remember that we lea…[Read more]

@this-is-not-an-alien Thanks!
yeah, I just recently got onto Story Embers, but I met two great people that help me out sooooo much! (Reflecting how one does so well with putting up with my a-lot-less-than-perfect punctuation and grammar; shout out to you, Lydia.) And even though I’m so new, I almost cried when I saw the announcement. So long,…[Read more]
