I want him to have that kind of personality, and be one of those quieter, polite, super nice guys but I also don’t want him to be unrealistically perfect or too effeminate if you know what I mean??
That’s a familiar problem XD For some reason, it’s always the love interest too for me… XD
I think something that might help is i…[Read more]

Greetings!! I have returned victorious from my conquest of the hostile lands of exams! (Well hopefully victorious, I still have to get the results XD)
Do you use direct, italicized thought (where first person pronouns are used)? At first, I used basically none, but the more I looked at popular books, the more I see it used, and am…

Hi Betty! I’m Rose, pleased to meet you!
I’m writing my first book, a western historical romance.
Ooohhh, that’s so exciting! The first story is always special, though it can also be just ridiculously hard to write, or at least, it was for me 😀
I write YA fantasy, I’m working on a trilogy! I’m so, so close to finishing book 3, and…[Read more]

Hi, I’m so glad you posted about this!
This whole story felt very familiar to me, especially these parts:
I find myself having sinful thoughts in regards to some of my characters, or sometimes, just wild thoughts in general, even if what I’m writing about is innocuous. Sometimes, even the most innocent things can trigger d…

The MC was my fav probably, but I already forgot how to spell his name. I like the part when he’s in the castle and the gray knights (I think they were called that) arrest him.
Oh, Tiuri! He was awesome, I really liked him as an MC! Ohhh, that part was the best, there were so many reversals!
LOL, I remember the Dutch movie of it w…[Read more]

Hmm, interesting! I’m going to change it slightly, but that was an interesting development!
I don’t have anything for Mejt yet XD I know what her great fear is, but I don’t know how to create a scenario around it XD
So… here we go again.

Oh, idk if I mentioned this before, but Halmar has gotten himself a place as a deuteragonist instead of a side character XD It’s going to be dual POV now, because they have opposite views on the theme!

It was pretty good. I personally love the trope of ‘character starts off in village or town and then goes on a journey, so that was my favorite thing about the book probably.
That was really fun! It was a very basic storyline but very well executed, imo!
The writing style wasn’t my favorite (a lot of ‘he wondered’ and ‘he thought (…

@everyone
I had a really interesting idea for a next challenge. It’s similar to this one, except instead of facing their fears, they learn what would have happened if they never face their fears and complete their arc. If they make all the wrong choices and become the worst version of themselves, where would they be in ten/twenty/thirty/however…[Read more]

DENALI YOU’RE BACKKKK!!!!!! I MISSED YOU AND I MISSED NIAROK!!!!!
pulled Liorah and Aydin out and put Mejt (May-eet) and her older brother, Halmar (did I get his name right?) They’re both around twenty.
Yep, accurate! Halmar is twenty, Mejt is eighteen!
and has a terrible habit of making wry comments about the w…

Nice. I’ve always found sewing and embroidery intriguing in the ‘this is a beautiful skill but I’m not touching it with a ten foot rod’ sorta way. 🙂
Honestly a wise choice XD The unfortunate thing with hobbies is that one thing leads to another and before you know it you have too many and too little time XD
It does mean you acquire…[Read more]

I was a summer camp counselor at a Christian horse camp last summer, so I worked with horses for about three months there. I learn quickly and I’m pretty comfortable around (most) horses, so it’s a good fit for me. But I do feel out-of-my-depth sometimes since most of the folks I’ve worked with (both here and at the summer camp) have…

Oh yeah, I do that with looming (aka loom knitting)
Once you figure out a system and know exactly what you have to watch yourself doing, it’s pretty easy. Then of course you think “wow I am so good at this” and try to do one or two without looking at it and end up with a complete disaster. That’s always fun 🙂
Ohh, that’s so cool! Yesss,…[Read more]

Overly Sarcastic Productions? No, not really. Their’s has a very hand-drawn look, mine is really nothing like that. If things work out right, yes, I might use the art for youtube.
Ohhh, that sounds really cool! I’d love to see it if you want to share!
Great! Send me a pic! I’d love to see it!

I’ve been working a new job that’s been zapping my energy, lol. It’s not bad work–I groom horses and do some maintenance stuff on an equine farm–but it is pretty draining.
Ohh, that’s awesome, but having worked with horses for a good while, draining is the only right word 😅 I don’t know why everything in the equine world is so heavy.…[Read more]

Nothing that could be considered truly artistic in the adept painter-and illustrator type way. It’s just basic character art with basic backgrounds and the such. Transferring the art to after effects and animating it in an efficient way is what I’m stuck in right now. The animations are very basic (character movement, arm mov…

Adobe Illustrator for the art, Adobe After Effects for the animations, and Adobe Premiere (or its free counterpart Davinci Resolve 17) for final content arranging and rendering. Have you worked with Adobe much? I know Photoshop is the favorite for many, but I personally prefer Illustrator for art.
Ohhh, that’s awesome! What kind of…[Read more]
