HEYYYYY I am so happy to be part of this with y’all!!! Eeeek! 😝 Even though I’m not focusing on a career as a writer, I plan to keep writing and growing in skill as long as I have story ideas. (So, forever!)
I guess I’m going to be one of the few extroverts in this guild!! 😛 Y’all better watch out. 😏

@ashlyvye I think it said that if you score less than 30, the Journey Plan was a better option. I scored 35 (I think), so I chose the other. Also, I’m more confident in some areas than others, and I liked the thought of picking and choosing which resources seemed most helpful. 😀

@daeus This is a tricky question to answer because, for me, as a writer, I’ve just come up with cool story ideas and I’m not writing for a specific purpose or to a certain set of readers, only for myself. But I want to begin to consider such things as I get better at writing and such. So here’s my thoughts.
I feel like the power of a story lies…[Read more]

@ashlyvye I’m doing the Writer’s Rank Advancement Guide, so I’m at different ranks for different things. But overall I got Novice. 😀
I haven’t had the chance to check out any of the resources yet; I have plays I’m performing in through next month, so I think summer will be the time for me to get back into writing again!

@kayla-joy I agree about Loki. He needs to have a redemptive death. It would be fitting to his character arc. And @inkling-for-christ that is a mind-blowing theory! It’s so crazy it might be true. I’m scared for this movie….

Hmm, I’ve heard rumors that Hawkeye may make an appearance under a new alias.
There’s a lot of characters, so I’ll tell my list of who might not make it: Captain America, Iron Man, Loki, Vision, Bruce Banner… *sobs*
My favorite character is probably Thor.
Hm. I think I’m most worried about Iron Man. Because Tony’s been through so much alre…[Read more]

Lady Iliara replied to the topic Well-done dystopian novels…where can I find 'em? in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 1 month ago
@morreafirebird Oh, I just thought of one I read not too long ago. It was The Vagrant by Peter Newman (first book in the Vagrant series). I saw the cover, which is a guy in a cloak carrying a sword and a baby, and I was hooked, hehe!
It surprised me with its ability to show the main character’s emotions because (SURPRISE!) he does not spea…[Read more]

I definitely write fantasy, mainly because most of my favorite books were fantasy and I grew up imagining and acting out little “stories” when I played. The very mindset is part of me I suppose, because I just haven’t had ideas for dystopian or sci-fi or historical fiction. Once a long time ago, I had an idea for a girl who lives in a dysto…[Read more]

@briannastorm I just recently read the first book in that Out of Time series! I liked it better than I thought I would, though I felt like it dragged a bit in the middle.

Welcome @child-of-god! I hope you’ll find Story Embers to be an amazing, helpful place! What are the books you’ve already written? What’s the premise of the one you’re publishing? What are your favorite books?
(sorry for the boatload of questions :P)

@kayla-joy I’m an extrovert, may I answer this too? XD I might pick dare if I was in a group of (good) friends. Otherwise I’d probably pick truth, mostly because I’m a very talkative/tell you all about myself ENFJ.
P.S. The stereotype is true. We really would like to help you with your potato goals.
