Thanks!
It is? Hey, that’s pretty cool. Its full origin is a looong story, but here’s the short version. It came from the name Talupus, which is a combination of the prefix ta- (meaning fire in Matoran, which is from a Lego theme called Bionicle) and lupus, Latin for wolf (again, long story why I chose that). I shortened it to Tal at one…[Read more]

I’m from a small town on the West Coast of America (I’d rather not give more detail than that 😀). I’m able to get around town, especially to the library, on my bike, since everything is so close together.
The novel is about two orphaned (wow, what a surprise, I know) brothers who live in a large city. They are called by the King (God) to…[Read more]

Kristianne Hassman replied to the topic Help! Story without message! in the forum Fantasy Writers 6 years, 5 months ago
I agree that you don’t need a specifically Christian theme or message, per se. The theme could simply be about the loneliness of a child, about friendship, or about the dangers of lying and pretending (those are just some ideas). The story can still be enjoyable (and God-glorifying!) without a decidedly Christian message.

Hey Eitan,
I’m just going to add to what everyone had said. This might have already been mentioned but I hope this helps you!
I can say that I have had something similar. Once I had a lot of school to do and I knew I could still find time to write in between things but God said no. Every time I tried to write, nothing would come and I’d…[Read more]

Really nice! I have to agree with Claire…the Living Water one is very creative, and probably my favourite. I also liked the Loaves and Fishes one…we recently did that passage at our church (online, of course😆). And the one of the temple…I never had patience for buildings, but you made it look really nice.

Wow, great job! I love how you’ve incorporated Biblical themes in your drawings. 🙂 My favorite is “Living Water”.

Taylor Clogston replied to the topic Why do fantasy and medieval settings coincide? in the forum Research and Worldbuilding 6 years, 5 months ago
@mgtask Like the others said, it goes back ultimately to Tolkien.
But it isn’t just because everyone picked up LotR at a young age and fell in love with it.
LotR has its roots most strongly in oral mythological and folklore traditions, between Beowulf, Norse mythology, and German and European fairy tales. He wanted to create a mythology for the…[Read more]

Actually, we don’t get hail much here either. If it’s snow, I’ve seen about everything, but hail causes excitement. Do you get snow during the winter where you live?
Oh, David is one of my heroes too. I love how God kinda gave us a guideline for a great book in His redemptive story. He had all the flawed characters, and all the…[Read more]

Hey! It’s nice meeting you!
You know, I posted my introduction real quick before lunch, and then I was like…it’s kinda bland and boring for a aspiring writer.😄
I’m 16, and I live in Ontario, Canada, where every season is distinct. My favourite season is Autumn though, because the autumn breeze makes me want to fly.😉 How big was the…[Read more]

I am writing a fantasy book called Ninjanaria! If you want to read the first couple of chapters. I posted them on here! Oh, but if you read the first chapter don’t read the actual one I posted read the revised one…[Read more]

I’ll do my best to answer, and don’t be afraid to ask again if it doesn’t make sense the first time. I also apologize if this answer is kind of roundabout.
I think I understand where you’re coming from, especially as another man – as one who also has long fixated on his position as a servant of God, rather than a son. I have dealt with…[Read more]

@eitan Oh my gosh, I have felt the same way. Daeus had some wise words. I can’t really add to them, but figured I might as well let you know you are not the only one to have dealt with this! XD

Hey @eitan, I’m sure this isn’t a problem God hasn’t accounted for. 😛
If I had to guess, this is probably stemming from one of two causes.
1. A lack of real (or perceived) surrender. Even good things done from selfish reasons can be dishonoring to Christ. Or maybe there’s something you know God wants you to do that you aren’t doing. Either way,…[Read more]

Thank you! Yeah well, the man in the police car wasn’t really important lol. I had originally planned on him being more but….. you know, how stories change! haha
Okay yeah, the POV thing makes sense! Though I change from character to character in my later chapters bc there are more characters lol! I think a normal chapter changes POV 4…[Read more]
