I’m just going to add to what everyone had said. This might have already been mentioned but I hope this helps you!

I can say that I have had something similar. Once I had a lot of school to do and I knew I could still find time to write in between things but God said no. Every time I tried to write, nothing would come and I’d feel really guilty and kinda depressed. For me it was a surrender thing. I had to tell God that my talents were His and I would use them when He wanted me to. Once I told God that I would focus and the other “little” things I got some really cool story ideas that I would write later and I knew they were from God. Now I’m not saying that if you surrender everything to God that you are just going to magically get some awesome story ideas but that God will honor you because you said “Here I am, use my talents how you want and when you want.” Not sure if this helps, but one thing I would say would be to check how surrendered you are to God. He wants to use you but he can’t if you aren’t willing to let Him. Pray about this and tell God that if He doesn’t want you to write right now that you will wait until He wants you to. For me, I think it was that God wanted me to focus on helping and reaching out to others. I hope this helped you!
