I just wanted to let some of y’all (Texas slang for “you guys and gals”) that Kaytlin Philips has a pretty good monitored Forum type blog site at:

@this-is-not-an-alien Thanks!
yeah, I just recently got onto Story Embers, but I met two great people that help me out sooooo much! (Reflecting how one does so well with putting up with my a-lot-less-than-perfect punctuation and grammar; shout out to you, Lydia.) And even though I’m so new, I almost cried when I saw the announcement. So long,…[Read more]

Ooh, so maybe greatest fears are up next?
I know you two wanted to do the fashion show, right? Though I think Grace’s account wasn’t working.

I haven’t done this sort of thing myself, but I know @calidris has done some stuff with a twenties style setting. Calidris, what sort of resources have you used?

You’re welcome to come up with something different since the fashion show would probably work better with more characters. 🙂
Also, what characters do you plan on putting in the Castle? (If you need me to post my character’s profiles, I am more than willing to do so)
In addition to that I would like to mention that anyone else who is…[Read more]

That’s alright. It’s the calm before the storm I guess. Lol
Uh, I’m not exactly sure. I’m pretty new to this even though I’m coming up on my 3rd year anniversary of taking writing seriously. Lol
I love writing games!
My Sci-fi series is about 3 teens who have to stop a mind control scheme. They aren’t related and 1 of them has a dad…[Read more]

@sarafini It’s so nice to have you here! I’m sorry about the relative lack of activity :'( SE goes through cycles of being furiously active, and then hardly active at all. Last summer was crazy, so I’m assuming that people start returning as school ends 🙂 For now though…

Although the fashion show would be fun….but we also could save it for when more people are free.
It probably would be best to save it for later. I’m drawing blank on what challenge/activity to cook up next for our characters though…

Hi! I’m up for more castle craziness! These past couple of months have been packed, but things have slowed down a bit.

Yes, Benevola Haven is pretty small, and the Benevolents take extreme measures to keep everyone inside (think iron curtain), supposedly for “safety” because the rest of the US is in an utter mess of chaos. Isaias is one of the only people who regularly sneaks out of the Haven bc he’s a little crazy in a good way 😂 “Whaddya mean I…[Read more]

Noah Cochran started the topic Battle Scenes in the forum General Writing Discussions 1 year, 10 months ago
Every time I attempt a battle/skirmish sequence with several different parties and character goals, my writing spirals downwards into an abysmal mess of telling, forced introspection, and an all around lack of suspense and scene immersion. This is despite my efforts to focus on emotions and senses. In fact, I feel like emotions sometimes take over…[Read more]

I don’t have discord, but I wouldn’t be opposed to getting it. It does seem like it could be more casual than e-mail. Email might be best for the sprinting, though, since not everyone has discord. A mini server could be fun, however 😂
