Hi, my name is Sarafini (Sara) and I’m new. Technology is the worst sometimes. I sent in my submission back in October, I believe. I never heard back so I tried again a couple weeks later. Still didn’t hear back so around Thanksgiving I tried for a 3rd time and meanwhile I heard about KP so I sent in my submission to that. I got an email back from Story Embers saying I already had an account so I logged in only to find it said I didn’t have an account, so I gave up (Idk why I didn’t think to email them back *facepalm*). Meanwhile I set up an account on KP. I finally decided to resend in my submission 1 more time this morning and here I am! I write Sci-fi (a couple of my WIPs are in this genre) 1 fantasy/contemporary WIP, 4 Thrillers and I’m hoping to give His-fic and non-fiction a try. I will never write horror and the only romance will be on the side. I’m a recent graduate and almost an adult (although I don’t want to be). Can’t wait to write with y’all. I’m very goal-oriented so if you ever want to keep track of monthly writing goals with me I’d love to do it. I do it on my own but it’s way more fun with other people.
@sarafini It’s so nice to have you here! I’m sorry about the relative lack of activity :'( SE goes through cycles of being furiously active, and then hardly active at all. Last summer was crazy, so I’m assuming that people start returning as school ends 🙂 For now though…
What kinds of topics are you interested in? There’s not much right now, but as it starts picking up again I can keep an eye out for discussions you might like (also for when I want to start a new thread.) Do you like writing games?

Uh, I’m not exactly sure. I’m pretty new to this even though I’m coming up on my 3rd year anniversary of taking writing seriously. Lol
I love writing games!
My Sci-fi series is about 3 teens who have to stop a mind control scheme. They aren’t related and 1 of them has a dad in the FBI.
My Thriller series is about a 12 year old girl (named Jasmine) who’s dad is in the FBI. Her mom is a con-artist basically and kidnaps her to try to get revenge and something she wants from her ex-boyfriend (she and Jasmine’s dad aren’t married).
@sarafini Those stories sound really interesting! I’ve sometimes wondered about writing a contemporary story…but I think I love the historical aesthetic too much XD We’ll see!

Your stories sound awesome! I like contemporary stories too, though it generally depends on the type of story being told. I love fantastical elements too much, so sci fi and fantasy are my favourites, but thrillers and mysteries are cool too XD
Hi! I’m excited to meet someone new (I’ve been talking to E G for a bit) Quite a username. Lol Nice to meet you too! I have 1 fantasy project in the works but it’s contemporary and allegorical too. Lol Thanks. I like them. The line between fantasy/Sci-fi is so thin. I’m hoping some fantasy writers can give me advice and help on the Sci-fi stories. Idk if there are a lot of Thriller writers here but I’m hoping some will be active in the next years (hoping to be around for a bit and active lol) I’m on here.

Haha yeah!! It was a bit of a debacle for my brother and I when we set up an account too lol.

What’s your WIP about?
It’s a dystopian about a ballerina learning that letting go of control and trusting God leads to joy. Her activities include attempting to stop a revolution while hiding both Church and science secrets from the government to keep her friends safe.
Your WIPs sound intriguing, especially the sci-fi one! I’d love to hear more about it if you want to share 😄
