The one thing that stood out to me is I was under the impression the YA demographic ranges from about 13-18. Has that changed in recent years?

I’d lose interest and sympathy in a protagonist if he keeps making bad decision time after time. But a  huge factor would be how bad the decisions are, and how often he makes them. I think for me, the thing that turns me off is stupidity without reason. In life, people make wrong choices, but they always do it for a reason. I think Penny would trip and fall, being my most clumsy character, and she would totally spill whatever she was carrying all over people around her. She is not very graceful XD
