    Hello, everyone! I’m new around here.

    I write fantasy and some dystopian too. My current WIP is a dystopian about a young male cyborg who is struggling to live after the war.

    What about your current WIP? I love to hear about them!

    Hello Ribbonash! Welcome to StoryEmbers!

    I had to look up what a cyborg was, but that sounds cool! And bittersweet. Do you know anyone in the military?

    My WIP right now is fiction, on life from a Muslim man’s perspective.

    Why do you like to write Ribbonash?

    Welcome again!

    Hi! Thank you!

    I had to look up cyborg myself when I started a book about one, so I totally understand that. Thank you! Haha, yeah, it is pretty bittersweet, isn’t it? No, I don’t, but I’ve heard/read/watched enough about soldiers having to live life after a war that it pulled my heartstrings so much so that I wanted to write about it in some form. It is so heartbreaking to see what they have to deal with and how they expected to go back to normal life when they have changed so much. So that’s where that military part came from.

    Ooh, your WIP sounds really interesting! I would read that.

    Good question! I like to write simply because I just love to make my imaginations real. I have been constantly thinking over stories for ages and now (as in when I started writing) my imaginations that are worth telling just need to be told, which in turn made me like writing to bits. Just seeing my characters and worlds come alive like they do on the page is such a beautiful thing. Also that they can be more than just my imagination is so impactful for just me alone. I certainly hope that one day that they can be as meaningful and precious to others as they are to me.

    Aww, thank you again!

    Hey! Nice to see you here too! I believe I will such I’ve been reading the blog posts, listening to the podcast and reading the newsletter for about a year I think. It has been quite a while of silently following!

    Welcome to SE! You’re going to love it here!

    My WIP is an adventurous fantasy about a princess who has a cursed necklace, and if it gets taken off she could die. After some thieves steal the necklace, her friends must go on an adventure to recover it.

    I hope to hear more about your writing world!

    Hey, don’t know if you’ve seen me around on there or not, but I’m on YDubs. 🙂 I just joined in the last month, so you might not have seen me on there yet.

    Welcome to Story Embers! It’s really nice for sharing your writing and seeing what people think, as well as getting good input. I’ve done it a couple times and it’s super helpful.

    Your story sounds cool! How long have you been working on it?

    My WIP is about a boy named Justin… *makes a quick decision* …but instead of telling you everything, I’ll just add my synapses. Haha, less work than trying to describe it.

    *Comes back after a bit* For some reason I can’t find it, but I’ll send it to you later when I do. Sorry.

    Cool idea, @kimlikesart Sounds super-challenging, too. Writing from the opposite gender’s perspective is tough. Adding to that an (I assume) relatively unfamiliar culture and faith, and you’ve got your work cut out for you. What inspired you to try this story?

    YDubs doesn’t sound familiar to me. What is the link for it?

    Thanks! Oh, cool! I certainly plan to do that some time in the future!

    Thank you! ^_^ It has been a year now. I’m still in the first draft, at the beginning. -_- Something that I really hope that I can fix this year. 🙂

    Fair enough. I only used my special sentence so I don’t have to use the whole full blurb. I find it so good to explain my story without going into all of the details. Going into details is not my strong point since I forget the details and also people generally don’t want you rambling about your book for a few minutes anyway. So it is my go-to now for both speaking and text and I love it. Of course if you want details, I will give it to you, but I won’t start with the details unless wanted. 🙂

    Oh, that’s okay! I can’t wait to read it!

    @seekjustice

    Hello, Chelsea! Nice to see you here! I’m going good. It is going well but also so slowly. I hope I can pick up the pace soon. It is so easy to not write and it is annoying. -_-

    @zee

    Thank you! Yeah!
