Haha I hear ya! Okay, fun!! I don’t personally know anyone on here but, I knew Vaughn (aka @purpleturtle) from a different site, and he actually recommended SE to me! And I just “met” Gracie (aka @kimlikesart)! So yeah, there’s a bit of random info that you don’t care about XD!

@claire-h no problem! As far as I know there is no meaningful symbolism to be found in the curvature of Myrrha’s horns.
@purpleturtle Thanks! That is a heck of a plot you’ve got there – I think I have some ideas for Cyril’s appearance and props. He sounds like a man of adventure, like Alan Turner from the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (except…[Read more]

@claire-h i can’t remember exactly what I said. Uhh… curcing out and forward? 😛
Also, @purpleturtle, I’ll take Cyril Drake! I’ve not had the best luck with drawing young men lately, but I seem to be a dab hand at old ones. Do you have a full description for him? What’s his role in the story?

Loki replied to the topic Character Art Exchange in the forum Art Discussions 5 years, 11 months ago
Oh my gosh, I have a character named Theodore, and his best friend’s name is Scott! Crazyyy!

@purpleturtle What’s the character and their description? I might be able to give it a shot.

Thank you! Yeah well, the man in the police car wasn’t really important lol. I had originally planned on him being more but….. you know, how stories change! haha
Okay yeah, the POV thing makes sense! Though I change from character to character in my later chapters bc there are more characters lol! I think a normal chapter changes POV 4…[Read more]

So how’d ya’ll get your personality tests???? I’ve noticed a lot of you have your personality types either in your bio or whatever.
So yeah what site or whatever did you do that on?
@claire-h @purpleturtle @olivia @eitan @anne_the_noob14 @emily-maynard @elizabeth @naiya-dyani @devastate-lasting @kristianne-hassman and whoever else sees this 😉-
I like this site: https://www.16personalities.com/
-
@devastate-lasting
Okay thank you!!
-
Yep, I used the 16 personality website.
-
Cool! Thanks!
-
@claire-h
Also, I posted on the character castle!
-
-
I also use the 16 personalities site, as well as truity for the enneagram test. But you can also just type in “Myers-Briggs Personality Test” or “Enneagram Personality Test” into your Google search box and see what it comes up with.
-
Okay cool! Thanks.
-
-
I use the 16 personalities site as well 🙂

Just a little thing I want your opinions on, 🙂
Just then, his 11-year-old brother, Tim, came crashing out of the house.

I sorta like the first one the best. I find that sometimes if your character is doing too much in one sentence, it sorta detracts from the rest of the sentence. (I’m not like a superb writing by any means, but just something I thought of as I read your bits of story above.) But both are good, so either one works fine! 🙂
-
I like both 🙂
-
-
I think the first one is smoother, but it slows things down. If you’re going for a chaotic feel, I think the second one is better.
-
Thanks you guys!
@olivia @millennium @emily-maynard @eitan -
Personally, I like the first one better because it seems to flow better, but either one would work fine 🙂
-
Okay, thank you! I’ll prob go with that one since that’s the one everyone seems to like better!

-
Yup, your welcome! 🙂

Hey,
Has anyone ever read
Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult?-
No, I’ve never read it. What’s it about? It sounds interesting though.
-
Okay, I was just wondering if it was any good lol!
here’s a synopsis from Wikipedia. It sounds like it could be good but it also sounds like it could be horrible lol!
Delilah, a 15-year-old teenager, bookworm, and social outcast is obsessed with a fairy tale story about Prince Oliver called Between the Lines. No one is able to understand…[Read more]

@beth20
I haven’t. I usually don’t read in English…-
Okay.
-
-
No I haven’t read it… But I did look it up and read the synopsis. Is the author a Christian? If not, I would be a little leery reading a teen romance. Just my first reaction.
-
Yeah, not sure if she is or not. You have a point haha!
-
Ya, I agree with Claire. It does sound sorta cool (I mean, what isn’t cool about someone talking to a character from a story book?!?!), but it could also be sorta trashy if it isn’t by a Christian author and it’s a teen romance. Sometimes I’ve started books that seem totally fine, and before I finish reading the end of the first page I have to put…[Read more]

@Olivia
Yeah I’ve read books written by non christian authors and they were good.
But I’ve never read any romance books. Not really my thing, but this books just looks fun! haha!
-
-
@beth20
I know just because the author isn’t a Christian doesn’t mean they don’t write good books, but romances are very different. I agree that the book does look interesting, but ya, I’d just be careful.-
@olivia
Okay! I looked it up on Common sense media (a site like Plugged In, and it looked fine. I just don’t know how good it is. haha
-
-
-
Okay, thanks!
-
-
@beth20
Okay, cool. Even if it’s not super good, it sounds okay, so if it’s clean and I had a copy I’d give it a try. 🙂 But it’s up to you of course.
@eitan Okay, thanks.-
Yeah, thank you!

Okay, cool. I’ll check it out sometime. So how did you and @claire-h both get into writing? That’s cool that you’re siblings, though. 🙂 None of my siblings really like to write, but I suppose I’m not super into it myself. Just something I do a bit, and want to get into the habit of doing more.
-
Olivia Lyndaker replied to the topic Hey Everyone in the forum Introduce Yourself 6 years ago
So what are his books about, and what genre does he write in?
-
Beth replied to the topic Hey Everyone in the forum Introduce Yourself 6 years ago
Okay! Well after you’ve played one watch the everything wrong part. Which one is that? The Salem one?
-
Olivia Lyndaker replied to the topic Hey Everyone in the forum Introduce Yourself 6 years ago
That’s really cool! I didn’t realize he wrote books as well as music, so I wasn’t sure if it was the same guy. I really like his one Christmas album. The one called Behold The Lamb Of God. We listened to it over Easter, and it’s a great Easter album as well as a good Christmas one.
-
Olivia Lyndaker replied to the topic Hey Everyone in the forum Introduce Yourself 6 years ago
So the author you like, Andrew Peterson, is that the same guy who writes songs? I like the music of a guy named Andrew Peterson, but I’m not sure if it’s the same guy. I didn’t realize he wrote books.

Um it’s an xbox 360 game only I think.
From wikipedia: Portal is a series of first-person puzzle-platform video games developed by Valve.
