I really liked it! I would totally write more backstory if I were you. I know that would be hard, because it already states that the reason that she starts this diary is because of the grandfathers death, and that in turn is the reason the book is written.

I really would like to see this as a full-blown book, too.

Basically @ashira summed it up. You just choose a certain amount of readers and you ask them to critique aspects of your story.

Just be warned though, if the majority of your readers are American you’ll find yourself questioning words and phrases you’ve used since birth (one of my readers got really stuck on the word “budgie”) 😛 😛
