You sounded like it is a subject you are passionate about and enjoy to talk about, so I was asking questions ’cause I was curious.
Ooh, I am! Languages are one of my favorite things to talk about, I adore discussions about Proto-Indo-European and the link between Frisian and Scottish Gaelic, and how some of the Dutch dialects a…[Read more]

“Look at this.”
Isaac listened closely. There was a slight flutter. A page being turned.
“People.”
Closing the chamber that held the detonators, he lifted the pack to his back. Time to work a bit. Approaching from the side, Isaac saw the pictures. Nothing seemed special but his line of work taught him that any little detail could be impor…[Read more]

@joelle-stone No worries! Life seems to be finding new ways to be unpredictable these days. *glares angrily at life and tells it to stop for one darned second and let me catch up and actually figure out what in the world is going on*

I think I’m going to cry now. XD I recently lost both my great-grandpas, so this is kinda tricky for me to emotionally navigate.
I’m so sorry! *Hugs*
It’s my mother-tongue but still SUCH A PAIN IN THE NECK because of all the exceptions to the rules!
I knowww!! It’s such a pain sometimes! And so many words just ‘look’ wrong. Villain, a…[Read more]

“Virtus, Virtue; son of Fidus, Trustworthy,” Why are you translating everyone’s names? Alessio tilted his head at Nithel quizzically. “I am Nithel, son of Father.”
This was ok, this wasn’t so bad as long Virtus was talking to Nithel he could just listen, that wouldn’t be too stressful or anything..
“Nice to meet you. Sorry, but I don’t know the…[Read more] -

Thank you so much! I love Riure’s fear, and I totally agree with Wingiby! I think it’s something all of us relate to 🙁 I love how you wrote it, and her reaction after the dream!
And that has to be one of the worst pieces I’ve ever written, so sorry about that.
Nooo! That was brilliant! I loved it!
Me: She’s never going to laugh aga…

KIARK
The ground was cold, clammy cold, and damp. I could feel it seeping through my tunic. My muscles were cramped, and I cracked my neck as I slowly sat up to get my bearings.
All I saw was black.
I leapt to my feet, my heart suddenly going like a racehorse’s. “Great Klyde,” I whispered hoarsely, staring all around me. It was so dark, so bla…[Read more]

@devastate-lasting @kylie-wingfeather @taylorclogston @winter_rose @joelle-stone The developers of the broken software just released an update that should have fixed this issue! It looked resolved on my end when I tested it, but let me know if you still find it occurring.

*wipes tears of laughter from eyes* That *giggles* was hilarious! I thought Riure’s fear was really cool. I love the way she wants to save her family so bad and is afraid of failing.
Thank you! That was my first time writing something like that. I’m glad you like…[Read more]

I’m sorry, but those are the only words I can use to describe how awesome that was…

SO sorry for delay!! I may have…erm…forgot about posting my character.
Also, I have question: Does this world use made up names or real ones? I’m seeing a mixture with our characters…Anyway, here my character is. 🙂
Name: (I’m going to wait a day or so before naming him to see if anyone answers my question. If no one does, I’ll just wing…[Read more]

Wow. Thanks for your feedback! It’s very helpful. For most of your questions, I can only say that it’s a simplified version. The real version has more details and much more flowery language.
Oh, I see! Thank you! And whoa, your real version must be super long! 😀
So, the rebellious pieces are Ice, Fire, and Water. Riure was sayin…

Ooh, that’s cool! The collab sounds awesome!
Man that makes it even more deep. And lol Liorah’s so snarky
Thank you! I had fun with it! (Don’t tell Liorah that.) I know right! I have no idea when she got so snarky, it wasn’t in my original plan for her. I do adore snark in characters, so it’s probably that coming t…[Read more]

Virtus smiled softly, glancing over Nithel and Alessio. “Nice to meet you. Sorry, but I don’t know the meaning of Nithel. Does Virtus really mean virtue? I was always told it meant strength.” Virtus shrugged, not waiting for a reply, though Nithel could have given one. “And yeah, Fidus means trustworthy. Or stalwart. Or pretty much everythi…[Read more]

“I’ve never had a friend before,” Alessio said warily “how does it work?”
Nithel’s chest ached in a yawn. His jaw tightening the smallest bit. How awful.
I will not leave you. But before he could say it, and so much more, Alessio’s gaze was focused behind him.
Nithel turned his head, neck stretching and following. It was a man. Virtue[Read more]

Ack, I have sinned, neither Alessio or Nithel would know what a train is! I’ve used a modern colloquialism in a medieval fantasy 😛
“None did.” he said softly “My thoughts were not warped.”
Alessio guiltily dodged his gaze for second before looking back at him. It still seemed too new to him, he need to step back and analyze.…[Read more] -

Oh right! Sorry!!! *multiple face palms*
I think it all makes sense now: Trinnus in the center of the beach surrounded by a full, black lake and a tunnel starting at right side and fading to the left. Trinnus’s nephew lays on the ground beneath his uncle with a look of panic over his pale face, while a slave, holing a torch stands…[Read more]

Alessio was quiet a long time, and Nithel waited, moving his eyes from the youth’s face to the open square.
