I got 1133, for a short story I started and a poem. Wasn’t expecting to write at all this week (due to school xD) so I’m super pleased!
@writercatherine – Nice job! Yeah, my brother inspires me all the time. He has lots of ideas but never wants to write them out, so I just snag them. 😛

@writercatherine YAY, great job! You too, @evelyn! *throws confetti*
I wrote 1,584. Part of one scene in my draft, one random snippet for brainstorming my other story, and a little poetry. Better than I’d hoped for! 😀

That’s neat that you know ASL too! I used to be able to carry on full conversations with deaf individuals, but unfortunately I have gotten rusty. 🙁 I still adore the language though!! And I do hope to write a story (or stories) that accurately and beautifully portray the language. It can be fun to try new things in writing. 😉 What kind…[Read more]

@evelyn Well, I started writing it when I had absolutely no knowledge of writing (except that which I had gleaned from reading), so the written part is like…. REALLY bad. I didn’t even know that “Show, don’t tell” was I thing when I wrote it or anything. So if I decide to keep going on it, I don’t think there’s anything I would want to salvage…[Read more]

@evelyn and @i-david, how old are you two, anyway?
@anne_the_noob14 – Gee, thanks! I didn’t really mean to change it, but it worked out, so yeah.
@i-david Cool. Like America around 1941, yes?

@w-o-holmes In Knaphollow? Currently, not much, heh. Trying to wake it up right now, to be honest. But perhaps things are about to start stirring.
And I respect it. Definitely caught my attention. 😀
@evelyn Ah, my old friend. Just thinking of our past adventures makes me feel old and grizzled. XD How’ve you been?

Hello! I hope I’m not overstepping my boundaries here by posting this, but I wanted to make sure to get the word out to the Paramis that aren’t subscribed to the Word War category.
So… There’s a war going on! It started last Monday (the second) and is going through this Sunday (the eighth). You submit your word count here:…[Read more]

Hey all, hope your having an amazing day!
So…I’ve been thinking a lot about mental illnesses and disorders recently and was wondering if anybody had posted a thread on here about such things. I couldn’t find any. (If there is one, please do share. 😉)
I have multiple reasons for starting this thread. For one, I think it would be good/helpful to…[Read more]

Welp, I say I’ll be more active, and I’m not on for almost a month.
@elisha-starquill I’ll check that out! Nope, I haven’t Great Expectations quite yet. Yeah, the trilogy was good; I’d also highly recommend the Four Kingdoms series by Melanie Cellier for clean Christian fiction.
Cool! I’ve written a bit of poetry lately; I might go back and…[Read more]

@evelyn *raises eyebrows* A hole of despair is the whole of inspiration. One person’s troubles are another person’s gifts. @wordsmith is in a deep coma of beautific thoughts of wonderment. *takes hat off* We should console his weary soul.

@evelyn Unfortunately my counselor fired me yesterday. She basically just said “You’re doing everything right, keep taking your medicine, aside from that I can’t help you because it’s perfectly reasonable that working your job would give you depression and boredom-anxiety. Get a new job.” So I don’t really know what to do.
My job involves putting…[Read more]
