Daeus Lamb

So guys, I feel like we need an emotional dilemma. Who was it that suggested depression/suicidal thoughts? I think that could actually match really well. Maybe the character dived into the kelp forest hoping to find death there.

We could make it a larger story, with lots of backstory inferred. If this is a fantasy story (and I feel like we could…[Read more]

Not to be too presumptuous, but are any of you planning on leaving reviews, or did I lose your interest? =P

@graceabounds2129, nice! Thanks for helping to catch us up! I really like it.

Does anyone know for sure when the deadline is? Is it really Sunday night? Because, if so, we are way behind. @brandon-miller? @daeus-lamb?

Good to see you again too, @Eden-anderson. 😀

What tags did I miss? @Daeus-lamb @cassandraia… and who else? Thoughts on this one, guys?

@daeus-lamb

Okay, I couldn’t remember. It’s gone well for you?

@eden-anderson

Yeah, I know what you mean. After doing more research, I feel a little  better about it, but it’s still scary.

Yes, thanks for sharing. 🙂

@daeus-lamb I can’t remember—have you trad-published and  self published?

@daeus-lamb So glad this exists! I kept wondering when the next word war, etc. would be. Could this schedule be posted under the Word War forum? That may help clear up some confusion going forward… The post could be edited as the schedule changes over time.

@daeus-lamb Thank you very much. I definitely won’t be offended if it doesn’t end up being your thing =P

@daeus-lamb

Already done. 🙂

@daeus-lamb Never mind, it’s working now.

@daeus-lamb For some reason the link isn’t working…

I’m doing okay. School finishes up this week, so I’ll have a lot of time and energy to dedicate to this week’s word war 🙂 During summer, I want to get back to writing regularly. Right now I’m trying to hack through the bigger picture of my WIP so that I can have a story flowing smoothly and that I can just keep going ahead in rather than…[Read more]

@daeus-lamb
Good idea. I feel like nobody has been very active on SE for awhile. Marketing! Ooh la la. That sounds challenging. 😝 I’m not really looking forward to that part of the writing/publishing journey.

@r-m-archer

100 for 100 Challenge? That sounds really cool! I’ve never heard of it before. And that’s so awesome that you are getting…[Read more]

@sarah-inkdragon

I have no clue either, but I’ll tag some more people. 🙂

@piperbee Aww, thanks!

@daeus-lamb It’s literally Monday night, but here’s the final draft: The Favor: Final Draft

@myclipboardismyviolin

Lol, I have noticed the same thing…really weird. 🙂

@daeus-lamb

Do you know?

@kate @piperbee @msqueen8 Aww, thank you!

I did rewrite the beginning to be a little slower, and I accepted most of Kate and Archer’s suggestions, so if you wanted to give it a second/final readthrough before Monday night to catch any last minute details?

@r-m-archer @germaine-han @daeus-lamb

Here it is! The Favor (First Draft)

It’s just thrown together and not terribly long, but I’m hoping this gives us more time and space to really polish that second person voice. Edit away!

@daeus-lamb @piperbee I don’t have too much homework this weekend, but I can try! Sorry I wasn’t able to get started sooner, we’re in the end-of-the-year craze right now, and some major projects are being wrapped up.

If I can get something basic out in the next couple of days, we can do a quick editing phase? I’ll try  to keep it short.

Also,…[Read more]
