While I would appreciate a response to my previous post (which may have just gotten lost in notifications), I have some questions about the end result of the forum shut-down.
Will the forum still be here, simply closed to new posts and replies? Will we, and others who stumble upon the site, still be able to access and reference the…[Read more]

@josiah @daeus-lamb Thank you so much!
@mamaauthoress hmm…I don’t know if you’ve already tried this, but I usually get a blank page, and when I scroll down I can find the castle
Or, you could try logging out and closing SE, then opening it up again and logging back in?

Yeahh what the update taketh it shall never return, I’m afraid the Fantasy Writer’s forum as we know it will never again exist excepting the pages and pages I saved to my thumbdrive to read offline until my thumbdrive decided it was writeprotected and could not be unwritten. There is no escape…it is gone…

I’ve been experiencing the same problem, and so has @this-is-not-an-alien
When I click on the Character Castle 2.0 page, it shows a white screen that says “No matching template found.”
I get the error message too, it looks like a website bug.

Just curious, if I delete my acount and then, eventually, make a new one, will all my old comments stay or disappear? -

Soooo… I’m thinking of submitting a story to the contest, but I’m not sure if it’s quite good enough. Would it be okay to post it here for critiques?
( @daeus-lamb, @briannastorm [just tagged you bc I thought you would know the answers xPxD])

@daeus-lamb Hey, I just posted art of someone and I realized afterward that I should have asked my subject first. The site won’t let me take it down anymore; would you be able to help with that?

Alrighty y’all, I love the dystopian genre, and I’ve been wanting to begin plotting a series for a while now, but unique and fresh plot ideas have been escaping me.
I consider the defining features of a vast amount of dystopian novels to be what I call the Big Three:
- An oppressive and autocratic government that is usually lying to its people…

Hello again, Cainon @sir-leeds and Daeus @daeus-lamb
Here is a horrific idea that I had. It is only a few lines from the perspective of a Hive-controlled villain.

@rose-colored-fancy and @daeus-lamb thanks for the help! I wanted third person for one because he’s less of a personal character so it almost feels invasive to do first-person if that makes any sense.
If you decide to go forward with it, I would write a couple chapters from both povs, then get feedback on it before you write the whole book th…

Isaiah replied to the topic Why is Christian Sci-Fi Scarcer than Fantasy? in the forum Sci-fi Writers 2 years, 11 months ago
@taylorclogston This is a very decent point that comes to the core of the answer, at least from where I sit. Sci-fi is a place to ask questions that we have to use imagination to find answers for. What will a space WWII look like? Star Wars 4-6. What would it mean if we aren’t alone in the universe? History Channel @ 11:30pm.
