I like Lizzy’s thoughts. Honestly, I would try not to feel much pressure to make any immediate decisions on what you want your account to be. Instead, I’d just get an account, follow people you care about or find interesting, experiment with different kinds of posts, and see what sticks and what feels the most like “the real you” so to speak and…[Read more]

It is funny and cool how ideas for books will just pop into you head. I just had that happen to me driving home from a shopping trip. Usually it starts with a thought related to whatever you are doing, then it sparks a fire of thought. Wow, did I just say that? I’m not the detailed/metaphor type. That’s my sister.
Anyway, it’s great…[Read more]

I looked at your book. It sounds really cool.😄
I’m working on one book right now…I might be halfway done with the first draft, but I’m not sure.😆 Pantser.😉 I probably have about 20 other books in my head, and 1 or 2 that I’ve started and never finished. It’s weird how writing has forced me to start thinking in years, (like an…[Read more]

That is really helpful. Thank you for taking the time to lay that out. I think probably I won’t start Bookstagram yet, just so that I won’t feel forced into it.

Actually, @hobbitchild, it is ok to provide a free book in exchange for a review. This is such standard practice that Amazon allows it. However, the reviewer should indicate that he received a free copy for review purposes as opposed to buying one.
If you’re looking for potential reviewers, try BookSirens or IndieReviews. But as you may already…[Read more]

Instagram does have its merits for a marketing tool, and it can be fun to be a part of the bookstagram community. But feeling pressured into getting it is…not so fun. Please don’t feel like you absolutely have to get on or do a bookstagram, and even if you do decide to get on, it’s your account. You don’t /have/ to post every day if you don’t…[Read more]

Beautiful Eitan! Truly. Thank you for sharing.
(:
There are no cold and horror – I do not shiver
I believe, (sense you asked), grammatically it should be ‘there is no cold and horror’.

Thank you!! And thanks for the critique 🙂
Will edit if possible 🙂
(Though grammatically, isn’t it plural?)-
Good question. (I almost didn’t say anything because I don’t have any grammar rule I know to quote.) Then I mentioned it anyway… *wince* My brain, my /self/, why dost thou do this to thyself!!
Anyways…
Yes; it is plural. But ‘is’ /does/ go there. *Knowing I’m doing this horribly…I should ask my mother.*
It sounds wrong with ‘are’. I’ve nev…[Read more]

(I hope this makes more sense to you, than it does to me…)
‘The subject is “there”.
“There is” is the subject and verb.
“cold and horror” is the direct object(s)’But, at least I know I’m not crazy…. in the complete oblivious sense of the word…
Post Script: It was ‘Tal’ who answered my question…not my mother. (:

Hmm. I read it now. I didn’t understand everything, but what I did – It’s amazing! Like, really. You really poured you heart to this… It’s full of sorrow, yet hope. True, He will never forsake us, no matter what, and how painful would be our fall. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

@zee I will try that website. I read somewhere that posting in forums and on blogs related to your book was a good way to promote, but I’m trying to spread it out so I don’t end up spamming someone who doesn’t want my book by repeatedly sending them emails, which is what I thought spamming was.
Yes, I found out that Amazon doesn’t like free bo…[Read more]

@hobbitchild, the link below is a list of websites that promote books (either free or reduced price) for free. Since they are free services, there’s no guarantee that your book will be chosen for promotion, but it can’t hurt to throw it out there. https://freebookpromotions.com/free-promotion-sites/

@hobbitchild I want to warn you that what you’re describing sounds like one of the most classic definitions of spam—you’re promoting your work in communities where you aren’t already ingrained. That goes double for commenting on blog posts asking people to download. In fact, most spam filters exist specifically to remove that kind of c…[Read more]

@zee, I’m not sure! I don’t think most people rewrite their characters ages, it was just a question that popped into my head. XD
I think it would be interesting to know if anyone has done that before. It would really change the plot of most books, I think, to make your main character go from eleven to thirty-one, but it would be an interesting challenge.

That’s cool, how many books are you writing right now? I have one I’m currently writing and four more in my head (I wrote down a little), and one I’m taking a break from.
Thank you so much for your interest in my book! I have a goal of at least 25 copies downloaded a day, and I’m failing today’s goal. I have eighteen.

Ever since I was little, my characters have always been a few years older than me, or late teens. Right now (I think I’m improving😄) my main character is in his 60’s…but he’s a wizard, so he seems younger. In my other books, my MC’s are 17, and 9.
I’ll try to check out your book.
