(Sorry if I missed someone).

 

So, I went through a difficult time in the last few days, but God used it amazingly to teach me something, and to get rid from a lie I believed in about Him. I’m still struggling implementing the lesson, but at least I know the truth. And God will give me power to eventually overcome this weakness. I wrote this poem today in the morning. I hope it will encourage, help or just make people smile!

As always, it’s free verse, and the original has rhyme and meter. Grammatical corrections and suggestions, critique, and anything else, are welcome!

(I’m really serious about grammar – I’d be happy to improve my English).

 

Your love is not imaginary

 

Your love is not imaginary

It is real and valid

Your help is not theoretical

It is living and breathing

 

My God, you are always with me

You are a shield and a sword for me

You are my strength and my wisdom

You give me sleep at night

 

You, my God, are the comforter

That gives me rest

And you give me power

To fight the devil

 

You had not forsaken me

Alone, in the midst of trouble

Out of pain and storm

You gave me peace and happiness

 

What is left for me to fear?

You will guard me from any evil

There are no cold and horror – I do not shiver

You will give me light and warm me

 

When one day, the end will come

I can no this for sure:

I will come to you flying

And will live with you forever!
