@selah-chelyah Ohh, that sounds really cool! Thanks so much for offering! I would love to but I would probably never get around to it. 🤦 I feel horrible for saying it…but it honestly does sound really good!

Yeah, I have the same problem…I never know what to tell people when they ask me about my story.

@selah-chelyah

yeah. It was the Roman soldiers that got me hooked anyways. To tell you the truth, when I first became a lover of Roman History when I was like, four, it was the soldiers helmets! 🙂 😆

@selah-chelyah Absolutely! I love how being a Christian can give a purpose and a meaning to so many different obscure talents.

I mentioned a couple of mine in the post, but I particularly love music — and I get to do that a lot, as part of the town concert band, and leading/accompanying worship at church. I also love embracing my inner baker…[Read more]

@wisdomofprose

Hi, thanks. It’s super cool on here 🙂

Yes, it is really fun being able to “meet” other his-fic fans and writers xD

Aww, thanks. I rather like it too LOL

@selah-chelyah

Cool 🙂 Isn’t making up words awesome? I tend to do it a lot, just cus I’m kinda “different and weird”, and make heaps of words without meaning too LOL.

*stares at @selah-chelyah* Yes, and I usually end up with some slave characters to, dont I? XD

well…your ahead of me in other research 😉

@selah-chelyah

Yeah 😀 I play the piano and just started learning the cello!

As to composing, I recently (last school year) started learning to write music! I usually compose for piano and occasionally supplement it with other instruments, but I want to get into more filmscoreish type stuffs. I’m still really new to it though, and I’m definitely…[Read more]

Just about every era! LOL! I love to write about the Greeks and Romans alot though.

My favorite Historical fiction authors are George MacDonald and Michael Phillips. . .also Ed Dunlop though he doesn’t just write historical fiction. (well neither do I so, 😛 )

@selah-chelyah Yes, He is!

Haha, sounds so much like me. 😉 Oh, yes, I think I remember you mentioning something about this particular WIP! Do tell more!

@selah-chelyah

That does help… I am pretty sure that I have at least looked through it xD

Yes, ditto 🙂

Sounds good, I’ll definitely see about reading them LOL

25 WIP? That’s like me xD

Your story sounds soo cool 🙂

So, do you like writing about big things that have happened in history then? I would like to do that. My current book that I…[Read more]

Yes they don’t know what they’re missing lol.

No, I don’t have a goodreads account sadly… I should probably get one sometime though lol!!!

And I would love to read your book!!! Would you like me to do editing/critiquing, or just reading? I LOVE editing FYI…

Do you have google docs? If so, could you possibly paste the link in…[Read more]

@edmund-lloyd-fletcher

Hawaii was illegally overthrown in the 1880s and they have been petitioning to regain their independence ever since then. Their Queen headed up the movement until her imprisonment in 1900s (ironically for treason against the US government), but its been going pretty solidly since then.

That’s just a little fact I learnt…[Read more]

Except for all those weird creatures LOL

There is a lot of BEAUTIFUL scenery in New Zealand xD

And the great thing is…we don’t have ANY snakes or very poisonous spiders 🙂

@banana-peacock-warrior

Yes, that’s super cool about music 🙂 Love meeting fellow musicians 😉 That’s so neat that you are composing too. I love doing that…

And, yes I totally understand your not wanting to post that yet…I was just curious. And I am absolutely passionate about it too, so high-five.

Haha lol, yes we do. And…[Read more]

@selah-chelyah Thanks for inviting me into this conversation!

There are a couple of things I’d like to clear up, having studied a rather extensive amount of books and articles on the Civil War.

First of all, just a quick spelling correction, you’re both spelling the term as “succession” when it’s really “secession”.  “To secede’ is very…[Read more]

@holly-anne: Nice to meet you!! *waves back enthusiastically*

I’d really love to read some of yours, too! Would you be able to tag me on some so I can read them? 😊

I did try posting one of my poems – didn’t tag anyone, so it was kinda like just throwing out a hook and seeing who takes the bait – but yeah. It’s called Prayer. It’s one of my…[Read more]

Thanks for that link! That’s so cool that they’re free! And yer, I will have to read some and let you know what I think 🙂

Yes I know! I think it’s sad when people don’t have a wide variety 🙁 To be honest, most of the fiction I’ve read is his-fic. I only got into proper fantasy quite recently, although I’ve been ‘writing’ it for…[Read more]
