*high-fives fellow Dickens fan back* Yes, audiobooks are amazingly helpful for classic novels… especially when they were paid by the word…
LOL, it really seems like that sometimes XD Dickens knows many words but concise is not one of them. XD
That’s a really cool premise! Best of success with it!
Haha, you are welcome for…
Agreed!!! I’ve always loved how unique the book and chapter titles are and have even thought about making my titles similar, since I love them so much. xD I might, but who knows…
I love it too! I’ve thought about adding titles to my chapters, but I’ve never actually tried it. *Lightbulb moment* I could maybe do that with this next pro…[Read more]
It does, though if we’re being truly fair, we wouldn’t have stories to write if it wasn’t for life. But ya, I get what you mean. It’s okay though, because I’m a little worn out right now and need a bit of a break anyway, so needing to pause writing right now is actually good for me.
Taking breaks is essential, and I hope you have a grea…[Read more]
THANK YOU NOAH
Joelle, I loved reading this, it made my day. 🙂 I’m glad we agree, we need to complain to each other about it sometime. 🙂 xD
Thanks for the reply Olivia! I’m glad you were able to see the clear differences through my mess of a post. xD
However. As it currently stands, the word “magic” is jus…
I was planning on joining NaNoWriMo this year, but I changed my mind and I’m not planning on it anymore do to some different life stuff I need to focus on.
That’s alright, I totally understand. Life gets in the way of writing sometimes 🙁
But in answer to your un-asked question, haha, the next Crazy Writing Week is in the beginning of…
Hi Olivia! Thanks for replying! 🙂
I couldn’t help noticing the title and thinking “sounds like it should be from the Mysterious Benedict Society”, and voila! you mentioned it yourself! xD Those books are so good.
LOL, yes! I love those books and the titling is hilarious!
One of the things I enjoy the most about that POV is how the MC (o…

overthinkingrethinking the titles of my series. As most of y’all know, the series in question is a fantasy trilogy in a desert setting.
With that for context, onward to the titles.
The initial idea was:
- The Tribe of Sand and Azure
- The Assassins of Mountains and Moonlight
- The Crowns of Blood and Thunder

@olivia Hi Olivia *waves* I haven’t been very active on the forum in a while. But I’m back now. And this fun little thing Lily set up is just what I needed. It’s nice to meet you. How long have you been on Story Embers?? And Are you working on any WIP?? If so what is it about??
She likes me because most moms do lol.
Glad you enjoyed it! Oh that’s cool that you condensed your story to six words! Mine would go something like:
“Gained reward; lost friend; now reconciled.”
Hey, I saw your poem and it was so awesome! (good luck in the challenge *goes back to figuring out what to submit* 🙂 )
I really like yours! They’re so good!
Thank you! It was fun to try! XD
2. “Here lies beloved Josh. Forever three.”
Aww, that one’s so sad! 😭
4. Reunited twins. Strong friendship. Sacrificial love.
Oooh, isn’t that one your WIP? Cool!
@Imwritehere1920 *gives you hug*
@olivia Yes thanks for sharing you Six word stories.
Hey, sorry for the long wait for the reply, life has been nuts for me lately.
Yep, it should also be noted (though it rarely is from what I have seen) that he also makes special note of food at times. Both food and song are such a large part of a culture that we are blind to it until we go into another culture see how they are…[Read more]
That’s an interesting situation and plot! I like how they managed to get messages to each other, that’s really clever!
Oh, that’s cool! What form of art do you make fan art with? Like Drawing, painting, etc.
I draw digitally! I actually finished it today, and I’m quite happy with how it came out! It’s a d…[Read more]
Ya, same with me. In the beginning I thought he was okay, but wasn’t sure how he could go from being pretty nice (sometimes) to what he is in the Hunger Games, so I was a little wary of him even though I sorta wanted to like him. But it’s true that I really didn’t like him even more at the end. I listened to the songs and they are cool!…
I’ll try to remember to look those up tomorrow. He definitely did not! I was so mad at him at the end of the book. I don’t care if he went through a lot in life and simply needed some counselling, what he did just made me mad, even though I knew where he was going to end up since I’d read the Hunger Games before.
Yes!! In the b…[Read more]
Aww, good! I’ve read quite a few books where people tell the stories of previous history through songs and it’s really cool, so that’s a good idea. Glad you have ideas!
I haven’t seen it that often, but I can see how it would work pretty well. And it gives me the added excuse that the songs were passed on through dozens of people in a gam…[Read more]
