Hey Ereki! I’m making some changes with my pen name and wanted to have a quick post to eliminate any confusion.
I’ll keep this short: I’m changing my pen name. Or more accurately, getting rid of it, since I’ve run into a lot of confusion in the past regarding my pen name versus my given name, especially at writers conferences and while marketing…[Read more]

No worries @catwing ! I’m glad you’re feeling a little better now. Just try not to stress about future relationships too much. :’ ) Usually, it’s the things that we can’t really control that God does the coolest things with.
Your wip sounds great!! I love mysterious stories. How long have you been working on it?

I’m still on vacation, so this is short.
Yes.
I wrote a short article. 😂
Typing vs. Writing by hand
Things I’ve learned from my own experience with both mediums:
Typing:
Pros:
Typing is faster.
Typing is much easier to edit and clean your prose as you go along.
Cons:
I find myself easily slipping into editor mindset, and making new…[Read more]

Hey Ereki!
I just finished up some edits for my story for the SE contest, so I’m hoping to get some beta readers to look over it!
Below is the link to the google doc plus some specific things I’m looking for critique on. It’s fantasy, about 4k, and contains clean romance and mild blood and gore.
Thank you in advance to anyone who has time to…[Read more]

We have another discussion topic for this week, and I am personally quite interested in your answers to this one. Here’s what Daeus wrote for us:
Why to write outside
I’m writing this post outside. The sun is shining, and some trees provide shade. The stream is full and bubbling and a wind stirs the leaves.

@evelyn I have a lot of hidden references throughout the story. (Like Brandon really does go on about getting fired behind the scenes, and I actually do show my fellow staffers the food I bake in a FB group chat—and of course they can’t eat it. 😛)
@ashira I think Josiah would agree. 😆

Good news! @karthmin got busy and wrote a bunch last night! We are now at ~1800 words and at the climax. The reason for this update is that we are at a crossroads. Karthmin and I proposed two alternate endings at the end of the doc. (His is in bold, and mine is in the comments.) We have the potential to be done writing by tonight, which would be…[Read more]

I’m back! *bows as confetti rains from the sky* And… we are a wee bit behind schedule. Ideally, we would be finished writing tomorrow, but we currently only have either 164 words of basic set-up or 1200 words of less basic set-up, depending on if we want to cut out most of that set up as some people planned. The deadline is Sunday night.
