@sam-kowal amen.
- You know you’re a writer when you begin biting different parts of your lip to see how the pain differs for your character.
- You know you”re a writer when you begin pinching different parts of your body to figure out which feels the most like biting your lip so you can write a comparison.

July 3, 2018 at 2:34 pm in reply to: What does it look like for God to be alive in your story? #40485@daeus-lamb   It’s a really cool question. I think that God should be acknowledged in the story as a real being. Characters should struggle throughout the story, occasionally yelling at God. Basically, make it realistic and include God’s patient silence throughout the novel, as well as encounters with him. I feel like you should also give him control of the story line throughout the novel, so that he really is working throughout it. I’m not sure if I just restated anybody else’s answers; I’m reading them now.

@literatureforthelight @the-fledgling-artist I am planning on doing so. My current book is dystopia where the government has begun to fear Christians and kills them all. However, two escape: one by divine intervention and one by complete ignorance. Together, they strive to make a difference, but do it in a very not cliche way.
