@anne_the_noob14 Well, the thing is, I want things to be complicated for him. . . but if his healing process is complicated, that means I can’t complicate his life as easily in other ways. . . I used the word complicated too many times in that sentence lol

You haven’t seen the original trilogy yet? Nice– you don’t have that as a bias to judge the prequels. What did you think about the acting in the prequels?

If you have a library nearby you can probably check out the movies there.
I haven’t seen the ninth Star Wars movie yet, and frankly I would rather wager on The Mandalorian and Rogue On to have the Star Wars vibe than Rise of Skywalker. The seventh and eighth were a major blow, especially when I kept spotting scenes directly…[Read more] -

Yep! Names based off of occupation came about both for first and last names. The name Carter literally means “cart driver”. I’m not sure exactly when that became a thing. I’m at work and my book for this sort of research is at home.

*Pats you on the back* There, there. Might I suggest watching the Avengers series in the order that they came out? I did, and the story made a lot of sense that way.
Thank you! The lover’s name was never told. *Pumps fist* Yes! I was trying to create some conflict there, and show it through Owl’s thoughts and feelings. I do have…[Read more]

Ooh, nice time period! I am a huge medieval times nerd. 😉
Depending on how era specific you are trying to be, you may not even give him a last name. Last names were not coined until late in the middle ages, or it may have even been into the Renaissance. I don’t remember exactly. But especially as early as the 10th century…[Read more]

Hello there!
I get the “wide and picky taste” thing, though to me that comes in different forms. I love classical/orchestral pieces, but also love the heavier, more symphonic, metal genres (though I am very careful when it comes to lyrics). It may seem like two extremes, but they’re really not that different. Every other type of…[Read more]

This sounds AMAZING!! Â Sorry I wasn’t here sooner, but I can send you a list of names. Â I have a Google Doc specifically for names that I like, actually. Â XD Â I’ll give you my list of male names and my list of last names so you can match up the ones you want. Â Or don’t use any of them. Â Either way! Â I hope you find a good one, t…[Read more]

I shall neither confirm nor deny your fears, though Bucky and Loki (and Black Widow) are my favorite Marvel characters/villains/Avengers.

Ahh, I see. That’s neat!
*thumbs up* I gotcha. And I totally get it. Not everything works for every human being on the planet. That’s the beauty of it, I suppose. Everyone is a little different. 🙂
Let me know if you find/come up with anything!

Wowza! Part of me is a little confused because you have to but you don’t…? But if you really need help, I may have a few ideas.
Sometimes inspiration strikes already set with a vague plot and/or character. This happens to me quite a bit with prompts. You’re a writer so I guarantee you have a list of those somewhere. 😉 Another…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14 – Yes, the BBC show with Benedict is set in modern London. I was a bit skeptical at first, but they did an excellent job converting the Victorian era in the books to the present day (Watson and Holmes call each other by their first names, Watson blogs about Holmes’ cases instead of posting them on a newspaper, things like that.)

Alright, here is the second half. Enjoy!
For two days Owl stood by the cell, and eventually he lost his fear of the witch. She certainly spoke like a madwoman, and she loved to laugh over the most random things, but she quickly proved to be as dangerous as a wobbly-legged kitten.
During the day…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14 @christlover @steward-of-the-pen Then it’s settled. I think it’s a great idea to have two topics and limit the group one to only about 10 participants (at least at one time).

@anne_the_noob14 YWW is another site for Christian writers, with a gigantic content library and community, but it is a subscription based service(but TOTALLY worth it). Imo the best online writer’s thing ever.
