Well snap XD I did the same thing as @rusted-knight did lol. I didn’t see the latest post. Let’s see…
The lad shook his head. “Oh, no, you didn’t wake me up. And please —please, stand. Save your bows for the One True King.” Dharin stood, a bit confused, as the boy went on: “My name is Luke, anyways. Prince Luke.” He stopped, lo…[Read more]
Here’s a slightly different version of my earlier bit, since Dharin doesn’t totally understand the French spoken by Isaac:
(Italiacs meaning he’s either thinking or speaking in a language besides English [that they call the Common tongue])
Dharin glanced down at Jaylin as the boy asked, “Hey, you want to explore what’s beh…[Read more]
“I’m lost. Could you tell me the way out?” said the voice from behind. He was about to answer, but he swiftly realized there were more people behind him. A boy, about his age, was answering who had apparently asked the question. Someone else stood nearby. One wore strange clothing, but the others were covered in more familiar garb.
Where in Jolar…[Read more]
Yep, Luke is perfect. I’ll get to work on a reply.
Whoops. Turn your back to eat and someone writes. Best improvise while I can.
Isaac hears the newcomer. Another boy, roughly the same age as the one here now. A swordsman as well. The sword is covered with detail on the hilt. Too good to be anything but a relic of a bygone age. The wielder seems to be a little like himself. Cautious, sizing up…[Read more]
Isaac looks a the boy. His eyes say he is not lying but how could they have “just got here”. There are no windows so this room must be deeper in the complex. Did the rift pull in others as well? He needed more information.
“Then how are you here?”
M’kay, here’s a quick little bit! Hopefully I kept y’all’s guys in character XD
@rusted-knight By the way, what does Isaac mean by “feint French”?
Dharin glanced down at Jaylin as the boy asked, “Hey, you want to explore what’s behind some of these doors?”
He smiled, and was about to reply when a man stepped…[Read more]
I haven’t read fantasy for months… And to be honest, since most of the books I’ve read were of secular authors, it’s somewhat embarrassing to tell other Christians about them 😅 I almost didn’t read the snince I was saved, though – I’m not sure if it’s a goof idea to…
Anyway, my favorites, if not now so when I was younger, are:
Oops @rusted-knight 😉
So here is my response, I couldn’t write very much bc I needed Isaac and Dharins response! haha Well here ya go!
There were so many doors and Jaylin’s curiosity was rising with every new one.
“Hey,” he said to Dharin, “you want to explore what’s behind some of these doors?”
But before he could answer a figure st…[Read more]
Yeah, the LOTR, The Hobbit, and The Chronicles of Narnia are really good! I don’t think I’ve read the other two though…
My favorite fantasy books. Hmm…
Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia are neck and neck for first. (who can blame me.)
Second place: The Hobbit.
Third place: Toward the Gleam. By T. M. Doran
Fourth place: The Silmarillion.
I think my favs are…
- Ashtown Burials (really any book by N.D.Wilson!)
- Guardians of Ga’Hoole by Kathryn Lasky
- Redwall by Brian Jaques
And tons more lol! Btw you don’t have to put just your favorites!
I read them in the recommended reading order, so the next book I read was The Black Star of Kingston.
Ohhhhh yeah lol! I like him! Oh, I have a question for you, after reading the first book did you read the second book or the first to the one back in time or whatever haha!
It looks like Livi is gonna respond with her character to you. So I guess I’ll go ahead and write Jaylin’s response to Isaac! 🙂
That would be Helmer. He’s definitely one of my favorites from the series.
I have heard and read some of those! I read The Green Ember books and part of the first Wingfeather Saga!
I will have to check them out!
@arindown the amazing person who did my profile art! 😉
I have read all of those! Though I only read some of the first book to the Wingfeather Saga! My favorite character in the Green Ember is…Small…[Read more]
