    Hi everyone!

I am looking to try my hand at a buisness where I take commissions to draw people’s DnD/TTRPG characters for them, but i don’t know what social media platforms I should use, or if people would be interested in this.

I have absorbed a lot of Dnd media, but I haven’t had the chance to play yet, so, what would players be interested in?

I was thinking I would ask for a description of the character, visually and a breif description of their personality, photos for reference, along with a picture of the character’s race, and their most important/notable features, their main item and compainion and a reference pic for their pose, and stipulate that I won’t draw NSFW pictures, i.e., hyper suggestive photos, nudity etc.

I would offer a bust/head picture, like 👩🧝‍♀️for my lowest price, midrift up or higher for a middle price, full body, and then a GM package that has a group of busts, midrift ups, full body, etc. for the highest price for NPCs, the player group, etc.

backgrounds would be an add-on that can cost a little extra, but would come with and without background for greater use of the product.

Please tell me if there’s any tips/advice you can give? what would players of TTRPG’s want?

Is there anything I should keep in mind when doing this?

I know I’d turn off some people by choosing not to do suggestive content, but given that TTRPG’s aren’t exactly romance driven, that won’t deter most people correct?

would it be okay if i had a specific art style I held to?

Also, how do I post pictures? I’d love to show a bit of my art style, but I don’t know how.

Hi! I have seen a good amount of artists use Artstation as a great place to showcase your work. They then often share it out there through Pinterest and Instagram.  I would say Instagram would be the best social media place to do it. I would love to see your work. I have noticed a huge surge in need for graphic artists for dnd art both for individuals and also dnd content creation teams as there has been a ton of addon content being released.

As a dnd player I love seeing my character as a head portrait and then some heroic poses either just in a casual stance or a fighting one. It helps me visualize my character’s actions in the storytelling. I hope help this helps.
