@catwing – Of the new old cat food, I felt it necessary to metiphoricalize my writing career with this. I am new in the sense that I am new on here, but I am old in the sense that I have been writing still before this.
I feel somewhat bland at the moment; I’ve absolutely no idea why…

Excusez-moi, my good sir! I had no knowings of your stand on this particular subject. And this without the thought of the late posts by yourself and others.

Btw, I’m new on here and all I read was the first panel so I have no idea of what you’re talking about right now.
So I responded as such to the Lament of @ericawordsmith.

Whence that beautiful aromic taste past between your trepid lips, you past the test onto a better life. Your wisdom shall now increase in startling bounds as unto the like of which you had never fathomed within your life. I congratulate you, my dear unknown friend whom I have never heard of before. But now you have past between these gates of…[Read more]

@tashah-claymore – For languages, I would advise you to look into the ology of linguistics. It really helped me. Also, you might want to think about the system of letters you would like to use, because if you have your own fantasy world, there won’t be English letters or any other for that matter, savvy? Also, other fantasy writer’s languages that…[Read more]

Hey @tashah-claymore, I’m new here too. (Nice name.) I’m a freshman in high school and I also love to write fantasy and world build. Though I also write poetry, too. How many fantasy worlds do you have? Or do you have a fictional universe with multiple planets? That’s what I have, but there’s no sci-fi in it. (Ex-going from planet to planet…[Read more]

Well, I just read all your people’s posts on the first page and thought that was it. Obviously not. Anyway, I’m new you might say.
Every poet has their own technique and some are alike. Some are different and some go a’flight. (Well what do you know!) This form of poetry is very interesting and while I haven’t ever written this type before I may…[Read more]

@dakota; If people have said it once it is said a thousand: This is great! You should write some more!
@jane-maree; You as well deserve some compliment, so very well done. Both your works are very well done and thoroughly enjoyable.
@libby; This was great too, very artistic – did you have a scene in front of you? I usually get inspiration from a…[Read more]

Hello, @azeline-d. I am new here and write poetry as a starter. So I will firstly be critiquing and complimenting your work. (Not like I’m not, ’cause I’m on here.)
On the whole, your first poem was very well done and I definitely liked it. One note though would be your last three lines; to some people, they may seem somewhat difficult to read -…[Read more]

Good morning! Though I wish it was raining. I might be what you’d call NEW. As in fresh off the printer. Or the new old cat food. Yes, the latter would be the more appropriate. I love writing poetry and prose and am currently in the slow process of investigations into author’s and poet’s lives. There is some interesting things to be found there,…[Read more]

Do any of you have a detailed system for taking and writing your notes down? Or is it just a note here, a note there, I see an idea, OH! That was a great plot point. How do you keep up with your notes?
My “structure” for note taking is the folded piece of paper. I’ve accumulated around an unknown number of these little note…things over the past…[Read more]

W.O.Holmes replied to the topic How Do You Write Your Poetry? in the forum Poetry Discussions 7 years, 1 month ago
Interesting. Yes, it is a factor that all poets have their own process when writing their poetry. I would describe the writing of my poetry to be something like this: The string is my word which I thread through the liquids of my emotion. Some of my poetry doesn’t exactly have a moral to it, and I don’t always portray morals within them. They are…[Read more]

Within the many realms of writing poetry of late, I have been troubled with the sincere problem of eight-syllable-lined poems that were for the most part great. But, for some reason, I couldn’t get out of that style. So I took a break from writing poetry for about two days and read other things such as Wordsworth and Frost. Then, as I walked into…[Read more]

Good morning! Or I should say afternoon. Today is currently my younger sister’s birthday and I might add that it shall always be current for it shall not be changed. Anyway, I primarily write poetry and am learning more and more of that craft and its history. Prose, also, is one of my better points. That is, the writing, style, setting, and…[Read more]
