That sounds totally reasonable to me (the male characters in LotR cried multiple times and it in no way lessened their masculinity). But I’m not a guy, so I’m interested to see what the guys think.

My favorite character would have to be Linus Larrabee from the 1995 movie Sabrina, which also happens to be my all-time-favorite movie. (not the 1954 movie it was based on. and definitely not the 2018 movie! that one is something different.)

@samuel Those are all really good examples/things to think about. Especially “If it doesn’t contribute to character, plot, or relevant setting (ideally two of the three), cut it.” I’ll have to keep that in mind.
