@samuel One of my favorite characters that I can think of (at the moment) is Inej Ghafa from Six of Crows. She has an uncanny ability to move silently and is skilled with weapons (which is always cool), and despite the fact that she lives in a really dark environment, she has hope and faith that life will be better. She once thinks to herself that she can’t expect to have a nice husband and a good family in the future, showing that the life that she leads now is too much a part of her to throw away.

I also liked Princess Eadlyn from the second part of Kierra Cass’s The Selection. Even though she’s an absolute brat at first, I enjoyed how she underwent her character arc and still displayed her character traits of being strong and stubborn even after she’s had her change of heart.
