I just read a series of books called The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart.
I have really loved the way he writes and also (FYI, these books are kind of mystery books), Trenton Lee Stewart opens up so many strings in these books and by the end of each book, each one has been resolved and he NEVER leaves you…[Read more]

I do both. Sometimes, I take forever developing characters and stuff like that, and sometimes I have this huge, awesome plot thing going on in my head.
Like you said, “big scene” is also something that I do.

Oh, and we need to find a way to incorporate all those games that JS made up and put them in with the arena that changes terrains. Just remember that.

-Rainforest
-Arctic
-Grasslands/Prairie
-Mountains

@winter_rose (these are some answers for some questions you asked a SUPER long time ago.)
Are we all writing from first person, or can we use whichever perspective we like for each character? Early on someone mentioned using different fonts/text for each character if each character is in first person, so I’m just wondering if we’re all using fir…

Ok, that makes sense and I really like that idea.
So, we all are planning on developing quite a few more characters for extras in the Cullings?
The Obstacles Course, Seeker (Like hide and seek), a battle with mechanical creatures, Tripwire (navigate through an area filled with traps), Tag (It will be way cooler than it…

Hi!
While working on a collaborative story, I got a really cool idea.
I know many of us are busy, and getting busier as the year goes on (at least in my case LOL).
But…
I’m challenging you to develop one or more characters (appearance, personality, even clothing, etc.) along with the world/planet/country/state (whatever you want!).
And post…[Read more]

Also, what about the best male/female friends who really love each other but not romantically?
I recently read the Promise of Jesse Woods, the book they have been reviewing on here recently. It was very good.

Sounds like a great way to do it!!!
