Romance Writer Seeking Critique Partners…

So far, I’ve had one person generously offer to help critique my current story (you can find the first chapter posted in the Contemporary Fiction Writers forum,) but I’d love to find more. If anybody is interested, please let me know. I’d be happy to critique/comment in exchange, but I think it would have to be via email rather than on the forum, because to be honest I’m still a bit confused as to exactly where posts go and how to find them again.

Then I’ll send you my novel a chapter at a time and you can respond with feedback at your leisure. I won’t send you another chapter until you’re through with the previous one, so you won’t get to feeling swamped.

Any and all critiques are welcome, so if you like to weed out typos and awkward phrasing, that’s great, but I’m primarily looking for the big stuff–does the story make sense? Are the characters interesting and relatable? Anything boring? Anything confusing? (I should say that this is the third book in a series, so there may be some confusing stuff that wouldn’t be confusing if you’d read the two prior books. But hopefully not too much…)

I agree. The small things can be edited out later… the big stuff is the stuff that is harder and is better to have a second eye reading 🙂

I’d love to help out as well, if you want more peoples. 🙂 If you have it all on a Google Doc where I could go through it, especially if there’s more rather than less of it, that’d be the very best, but email would probably work as well. I’d be more than happy to help out though, at least as I have time! XP

Hey! Sorry it took me a bit to get back with you. Totally crazy last week or so here. 😛 Part of which is the fact that I lost my email…like, permanently. Yeah, it’s super, amazingly tragic. Ton of research info and all kinds of stuff I should have thought so save and didn’t. Don’t ever change your Gmail password in the middle of the night when you’re tired, and not write it down, okay? XD Especially if you’ve recently deleted your backup email. Yeah, pretty brilliant, eh? Lol!

All that to say, I have a new email now that you can use. Or if you want me to email you from it, that’s great to. 🙂 Just lemme know…and I’ll try to keep more regular on here again, as well. Thank you for your patience!
